💼 Job Title: Transport Manager
📍Location: Hemingstone, Suffolk
💰Salary: Competitive salary
⏰Hours: Full Time (50hrs)
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Manager to join our team. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our plant, fleet and drivers, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and high standards of operation.
Key Responsibilities:
🚛 Manage daily transport operations, routing, and scheduling
🚛 Managing plant, tracking, hires and repairs
🚛 Ensure compliance with all relevant transport legislation and company policies
🚛 Oversee driver performance, conduct briefings, and manage absences
🚛 Ensure vehicle compliance, maintenance schedules, and defect reporting
🚛 Manage tachograph and driver hours compliance
🚛 Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
🚛 Investigate and manage incidents, near misses, and complaints
🚛 Support continuous improvement across all plant and transport operations
Requirements:
✅ CPC qualification (Transport Manager CPC – essential)
✅ Proven experience in a similar Transport Manager or Transport Supervisor role
✅ Strong knowledge of transport compliance and legislation
✅ Excellent organisational and communication skills
✅ Ability to manage teams and work under pressure
✅ Proficient with transport management systems and Microsoft Office
