If the only place you’ve seen a Striebig Vertical Panel Saw in action is B&Q, you need to come to Professional Woodworking Expo 2026.

Whilst a bang-on cut-to-size panel is the end result for thousands of DIY customers, it doesn’t tell you why this trusted Swiss-engineered vertical panel saw is the choice of so many woodworking businesses around the world. And it doesn’t show you the impact a Striebig can have on your own woodworking business.

Whether you’re a large-scale manufacturer or a bespoke joinery workshop, the reality is the same: if the cut isn’t accurate, you have a problem. With a Striebig, every model from manual to fully automated delivers cutting precision of up to 0.1mm, so accuracy isn’t an issue and repeatability is a given.

But the impact doesn’t end with the cut. It influences handling, workflow, material yield, finished quality and everything that follows. That’s where the Striebig goes beyond the cut – helping you create a more efficient and productive workshop.

The most valuable investment you can make is taking the time to find out where the biggest improvements in your workshop could come from and choosing the right machinery to deliver them.

With just 6 days to go until PWE 2026, now’s the time to register.

Come and speak to the TM team on Stand A10, Hall 2, and find out why seeing a vertical panel saw in action is only part of the story.

A visit to PWE 2026 at the NEC could be one of the most productive days your business has this year.

In most workshops, productivity isn’t created by a single machine. It’s created by everything that happens before and after it — and how those improvements influence the wider business over time. Achieving that doesn’t always meaninvesting more. It means making the right choices.

One day at the NEC could lead to decisions that benefit your workshop for years to come.

With more than four decades of experience, we know that while every workshop is different, the goals are often the same: producing high-quality products efficiently, safely and profitably.

That’s why we’ll be showcasing the Striebig Compact Vertical Panel Saw and AL-KO Power Unit 160 at Professional Woodworking Expo 2026 – because the best choice isn’t always the highest specification or the largest machine. It’s the one that delivers the greatest impact across your business.

Visit us on Stand A10 and meet the team.

If you haven’t registered for PWE yet, DM and we will send a link.

𝗣𝗪𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: if you want to see the fully automated 4D Striebig vertical panel saw with its advanced features, you might be disappointed.

We’re not bringing it. And that’s intentional.

It’s not because we don’t know that full automation, optimisation features, enhanced panel handling and faster cutting speeds is transformational for manufacturers looking to streamline a high-output or fast-growing business. That’s exactly why we took those models to LIGNA last year.

But let’s be real — the UK woodworking industry has seen plenty of challenges over the last few years, and as a result, UK woodworking trade shows have seen their fair share of changes too. Those challenges have also meant that for most UK workshops, investment decisions have naturally become far more considered.

For TM, machinery has always been about problem-solving, so the real value is showing how the right machinery can improve workflow, productivity, efficiency and long-term scalability across the wider operation. So for PWE 2026, we’re not focusing on the highest-spec machinery possible, because that isn’t the point of this year’s stand. Instead, we’re focusing on practical solutions that address the realities most small to medium-sized UK workshops are actually facing.

Whatever the model, the cutting precision and repeatability remain the same, and so do the wider gains machinery can bring across the whole workshop. The real difference is understanding the most practical solution for the individual business.

Find out what we are taking — and why we think this year’s Professional Woodworking Expo alongside InstallerSHOW and the Painting & Decorating Show actually makes a lot of sense.

Tight on cutting space?

Not a problem with a Striebig.

Every model comes in nine different frame sizes, before you even start considering special builds. Taller, longer, reinforced for extra weight… the sky really is the limit.

That’s why joinery workshops come to us when making the most of workshop space is a priority, but cutting large panels or working around awkward layouts is a challenge.

So we asked our MD, Matt Pearce, to run through some of the most common questions about Striebig vertical panel saws, along with a few of the more unusual installations we’ve seen over the years.

From machines fitting into less than 7m², to installs under low mezzanines and even special builds for 14m panels, no two workshops are ever quite the same.

And that’s why Striebig fits in so well.

There is nothing “standard” about a Striebig, except the cutting precision and build quality.

Think talking about dust extraction is all hot air? You could be right.

With temperatures already creeping up, it won’t be long before workshop heat becomes a regular conversation again.

If last summer meant having the doors open just to make it bearable, you’ll know how that usually plays out.

It feels like it helps.

In reality, with an externally vented system, you’re pulling warm air straight back in.

So instead of cooling things down, you get:

• Rising temperatures
• Unstable airflow
• More airborne dust
• Extra strain on your machines

And it doesn’t stop in winter — it just flips.
Warm air out, cold air in.

That’s why some workshops are moving towards recirculating systems like the AL-KO Power Unit, where air is filtered and reused rather than constantly replaced.

If you don’t want to spend another summer talking about the heat in your workshop, it might be time to have a differen conversation.

No hot air.

Old machines can run for years — but there comes a point where it no longer adds up.

At Destec Engineering Ltd, an older panel saw had reached that point.
Bringing it up to current safety requirements no longer made sense.

A Striebig Standard TRK2 4216 is now in place — refurbished and installed by our Striebig-trained team.

Now delivering consistent, accurate cutting, processing rough sawn timber alongside sheet materials including ply, OSB and hardboard.

A step up without changing the process — just better control, consistency, and full compliance

What happens when workshops grow and dust extraction can’t keep up?

What works with a few machines can start to fall short when several are running at once — dust builds up faster, cleaning takes longer and air quality changes through the day.

We looked at how this develops in a high-demand workshop environment, and how a recent AL-KO installation addressed it.

We’ve been listening to customer feedback around reducing downtime in the workshop.

So we’ve made a small update to the Striebig.

The new Operator Productivity Module includes a fully integrated coffee machine, mounted directly to the frame for easy access during cutting.

No unnecessary interruptions. Just continuous production.

Fully compatible with standard workshop mugs.

Available as a UK-specific addition from April.

After working with a lot of workshops, the same issue comes up again and again.

👉As panel sizes increase, handling becomes harder to control — not because the saw isn’t capable, but because the process relies on manual movement around the machine.

That’s where inconsistency, wasted material and extra labour start to creep in.

Vertical panel saws change that by supporting the panel and keeping the process controlled.

For many workshops, it’s not just about saving space.

It’s about removing variability from panel processing.
