Unattended Cremation Hit TheHeadlines
The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) has ruled that television adverts for a large online company are mis-leading consumers about what they actually offer.
Funerals are and always should be about providing choice. Times change and so do people's needs. Local funeral directors have always offered unattended funerals as well as a full range of other funeral services, locally, on your doorstep, so that you know where your loved one is and who is caring for them.
Speak to a funeral director to understand the different types of service they offer, any options you may have and what the costs are. Only then, can you have an informed family discussion about what is best for you. The benefit of a local funeral director over a national, online business, is that the local funeral director can often tailor make arrangements to suit your needs, whether you want to provide their own clothes, visit them at the chapel of rest, take a final jorney from the home address or even bring a much loved family pet to the service. We are all different in life and therefore we are all different in death too
Funerals are a chance to process our grief. Grief is indescriminate and it affects us all. Unattended funerals can sometimes be mistakenly chosen by people who want to try and get rid of their grief quickly, but we shouldn't rush to cast off grief; it's not hanging onto loss, it's hanging onto love.
