Not every delivery leaves by road.

Before this monumental sculpture could become a landmark in Dundee, it first had to make its journey by water.

Designed by artist Lee Simmons, the steel structure was carefully loaded onto a barge before beginning its journey from the south coast to Dundee Docks. Transporting a sculpture of this scale demanded meticulous planning, specialist lifting operations and close coordination to ensure every element arrived safely, ready for installation.

Where engineering meets architecture.

This bespoke steel staircase forms the centrepiece of a luxury residence within The Bryanston at Marble Arch Place, one of London's most prestigious mixed use developments.

Working alongside the wider project team, Littlehampton Welding fabricated and installed the architectural steelwork with the precision needed to complement the development's exceptional design. Every curve, connection and finish was carefully crafted to create a staircase that is as much a sculptural feature as it is a functional element of the building.

The engineering behind the art.

Suspended across three floors of Audi London HQ, this bespoke Streamliner sculpture, designed by Gerry Judah, celebrates the iconic Auto Union racing cars of the 1930s.

Fabricated and installed by Littlehampton Welding, the near one tonne aluminium and steel sculpture appears to float effortlessly within the building’s central atrium. A complex installation requiring meticulous planning, precision engineering and specialist lifting to bring the vision to life.

The 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed Central Feature is a dramatic 28-metre-high steel sculpture celebrating Singer Vehicle Design, the California-based company renowned for its reimagined Porsche 911 restorations.

Designed by Gerry Judah, the sculpture features three sweeping steel arches spanning 62 metres across the lawn in front of Goodwood House. Suspended within the structure are three Singer commissions, positioned between six and 14 metres above the ground to create a striking sense of movement and balance.

Three elegant arches rise and intersect in a bold sculptural form, expressing the speed, precision and craftsmanship that have become hallmarks of Judah’s Central Features at Goodwood.

The sculpture incorporates 38 tonnes of fabricated steel and is supported by three independent 100-tonne reinforced concrete foundations concealed beneath the Festival grounds. Each arch is constructed as a hollow triangular monocoque, fabricated from steel plate ranging from 8 mm to 30 mm in thickness. This highly efficient structural design provides exceptional strength and stiffness while preserving the clean, slender profile that defines the sculpture’s visual impact.

The result is a seamless fusion of art and engineering - an elegant structure that appears almost weightless while supporting three vehicles high above the Festival grounds.

And here it is. The 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed Central Feature.

Three sweeping steel arms rise from the ground outside Goodwood House, meeting high above the estate to create this year’s striking sculpture, designed by Gerry Judah and celebrating Singer.

Featuring three Porsche 911s Reimagined by Singer suspended from the structure, the sculpture was fabricated and installed by Littlehampton Welding.

Another iconic Central Feature brought from concept to reality through specialist steel fabrication and installation.

Tomorrow the 2026 central feature is revealed, here's a look back at 2025 for Gordon Murray Automotive.

The 2025 50 tonne central feature was a form measuring 84 metres if laid flat, cantilevering 20 metres sideways from its base.
The structure took the shape of Gordon Murray Automotive's Speed Head emblem.

Steel thickness varied between 8mm and 20mm throughout the monocoque structure, with butterfly stiffening arrangements in the supporting legs to manage the dynamic forces on an exposed structure of this scale.

Two cars were mounted parallel to each other as if racing skyward: the 1983 Brabham-BMW BT52 and the GMA T.50, Murray's three-seat, naturally aspirated V12 supercar.

MG's first central feature for in the sculpture's history, marking 100 years for 2024

The brief captured MG's two defining characteristics: lightweight design and clever engineering.

LWL fabricated a hollow, double-curved, eight-sided steel spar - 33 metres in length - threaded through a 24-metre diameter hoop and suspended entirely by 24 stainless steel cables, pre-tensioned to create a rigid, self-supporting assembly. No external legs. No conventional supports. The structural principle of a wire wheel applied at 40 tonnes.

Two cars at either end of the spar represent a century of the brand: 1964 Mk1 MGB Roadster, and the new MG Cyberster EV.
