The SuperPlate " U 1 " Is Now Available!
This extremely rare number plate was first issued way back in 1903 by Leeds County Council. We have the full history on hand
indicating that Rowland Winn, a motoring pioneer and founding member of the Automobile Association bought the U 1 plate, which was the very first registration issued in Leeds.

When Arthur Currer Briggs became Lord Mayor of Leeds in that same year, Winn gifted U 1 to Briggs for use on the civic vehicle.
Since then, the plate U 1 has been used (in one form or another) on the official Lord Mayor vehicle of Leeds.
