The numbers speak for themselves. VoiceBiota is now home to the largest organic voice biomarker dataset around, and it’s the foundation for everything we’re building next. VoiceBiota is the voice biomarker data layer turning everyday speech into physiological signal, and this July we achieved ISO 13485:2016 certification, regulatory rigor behind the science.

Biota1, our wellness wearable, is already reaching early users, listening passively with no audio ever leaving the device, and Rezpio, our respiratory monitoring system for COPD and asthma, is currently in the pipeline for CE medical certification.

The VoiceBiota Project Dataset is the largest of its kind and spans over 1.8 million voice data points, dozens of physiological and wellness patterns, and multiple recording environments and languages, built specifically to ask one question at scale: how much does the human voice actually carry?

We ran over 260 comparisons in one pass. Every single category we tested came back with a clear, consistent signal:

What if your voice doesn't have to be "perfect" to be useful?

This is one of the most exciting observations emerging from our analysis of 1.8+ million voice-derived data points. We expected voice perturbation to change as pitch changed. It didn't!

Across the conversational range, jitter, shimmer and HNR remained remarkably stable. Why does this matter?

Because it suggests that the voice may be far more robust than we thought. If the physiological information within speech is resilient to everyday variation, then voice biomarkers may not require ideal recording conditions to remain informative.

We're not claiming that sore throats or illness don't affect the voice.
We're asking a bigger question:

Could the underlying physiological signal remain stable even when the voice itself sounds different?

If the answer is yes, it would be a significant step towards making voice a truly practical, real-world digital biomarker.

This observation comes from a new paper currently being prepared using the VoiceBiota dataset. Sometimes the most exciting discovery isn't what changes. It's what doesn't.

New in the VoiceBiota Validation Studio: Bring Your Own Algorithm

We listened. After a lot of valuable feedback from our research community, we are proud to launch our Bring Your Own Algorithm (BYOA) feature inside the Validation Studio.

Until now, testing a custom algorithm on our dataset meant connecting via API. That option is still fully available, but we wanted to make the process faster and more open to everyone.

With BYOA, any registered researcher or partner can now validate their own algorithm directly against our voice biomarker dataset of 1.8 million samples and growing. Here is what you can do:

✅ Paste your own algorithm straight into the Studio, or ask our built in AI assistant to write one for you in real time

✅ Select the exact cohorts you want to test against

✅ Run and get results instantly across the dataset slice
