Just finalised another NVQ portfolio following a site visit completed last Friday for a dozer operator at the Genome Campus in Duxford working with Moortown Operatives.

The candidate demonstrated strong operating ability, good site awareness, and a professional attitude throughout the assessment process, making it great to see the portfolio now completed and ready for certification.

It’s always rewarding helping experienced operators gain formal recognition for the skills and knowledge they demonstrate every day on site.

Today we were back on the HS2 project carrying out an NVQ assessment for a Flannery Plant Hire operator working on behalf of EKFB. 👏

Another great example of an experienced operator demonstrating their skills, knowledge, and professionalism in a live site environment while progressing through their NVQ qualification.

It’s always rewarding supporting candidates on major infrastructure projects and helping them gain recognised qualifications for the work they carry out every day on site.

A strong start to the week — and the momentum keeps building!

Our assessor has been out carrying out a 360 Excavator assessment for an operative working with Clancy Group — another step forward in recognising on-site skills and competence.

We’ve also completed a Level 3 OWS (Occupational Work Supervision) NVQ for a supervisor working with DGS Group at the new Vantage Data Centre project — a great achievement on an important scheme.

A big congratulations to Tom, who last week completed his Level 6 Construction Contracting Operations Management NVQ whilst working for BAM on the TransPennine Rail Upgrade project and is now applying for his Black CSCS Card — a fantastic milestone and a well-earned recognition of his expertise and leadership.

A brilliant start to the week — here’s hoping the momentum continues and we see even more great achievements ahead!

🚧 Another couple of great achievements on HS2!

We’re proud to have recently completed NVQs supporting teams working on HS2.

A huge well done to Craig, completing his NVQ in Drainage supported through Carmichael UK on the EKFB section of the project — a fantastic accomplishment on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure programmes.

We’ve also completed a Tractor Operator NVQ for a Bogdan who is working via BAM / TBT Agency, helping ensure skills, competency, and site standards remain first class.

In addition, we’ve recently started a Lift Supervisor programme with Venesky Brown, continuing to support progression and leadership development across lifting operations.

It’s always great to see operatives gaining formal recognition for the work they’re already delivering on major projects. Supporting progression, strengthening compliance, and raising standards across the industry — that’s what it’s all about.

NVQ Level 3s completed for Summit Structures in Brighton after starting November last year.

Trade NVQs via on-site assessment (OSAT).

If candidates are experienced, this is the most effective method of assessing skills relevant to the NVQ being undertaken. KJ Construction Training Ltd offer a large range of trade qualifications that can be delivered through this process and method of assessment.

An assessor visits the workplace, to observe the operative carrying out tasks relevant to the qualification; all observations are also backed up with discussions and minimal disruption, no away time, no fuss.
