Dining room design ideas for our Wandsworth House project. The dining room is a few steps down from the kitchen on route to the garden.

The family have a large extended family - and so somewhere large to congregate around a big table for eating is really important. The timber clad ceiling references the Sri Lanken background of the family - bringing in a bit of Sri Lanken architectural design to South London.

Some early design sketches for our city Arts and Crafts House. The house is so beautiful this is in main a conservation and restoration project. All the rooms stay in their original location - we are just working on removing a chimney breast from the kitchen to open it up.

The house is wide and spreads across the landscape facing a magnificent garden. The section drawings are important to see how the cellular rooms can relate and flow into one another with a common design thread. There are so many beautiful original features that we are resorting/ celebrating.

In our Dulwich project we are extending to the rear of the house alongside the lower ground floor. The new kitchen faces the across the house with a long window seating running along the back of the house with panoramic windows looking out towards the garden. The kitchen sits above a double height staircase that heads down to the lower ground floor levels.

The dining room sits above few steps lower down at garden level- so living spaces spread across levels that step down towards the garden.

We are often looking at ways of designing lower ground floor spaces that have a strong connection to the garden and upper ground floor. No one likes to disappear into a dark basement/ cellar space.

We have been working on some designs for a family room where this is a quick run up the stairs to the garden.

So excited to reveal this beauty that we are working on not far from the studio. Oh how lucky are we! A country house in the city! We are looking at how to sensitively refurbish the house with a strong focus on family life and environmental upgrades where we can.

We are excited to share more with you as we develop the design. X###x

This is a lovely project from many moons ago.
Since this project was have gone on to work with the owners on their second property as well as a number of bars/shops and fingers crossed - an exciting restaurant in the pipeline.

We extended the flat to the back towards the garden. The kitchen was to be open with a strong relationship to the eating space and the garden (designing for a chef no less).

I love looking back at work from the early days - it’s good to see ideas that you have worked on and continue to be spaces that are loved by the family who we designed them for.

Our lovely studio to the end of the garden of our Arts and Crafts Project. The space was to be a retreat for work and music. The studio is clad in a recycled plastic tile which is just bloody gorgeous.

Designing creative places for creative people is one of the utter joys of our job. ♥️

A quick film of someone of the amazing projects that we have worked on over the last 10+ years. Every project started with a sketch, trust and the rest is history.

We are looking forward to adding to the portfolio with lots of projects that are on the drawing board, on site, recently completed or are yet to come.

We have been putting together a reel of all of our projects to date for instagram - and wow a trip down memory lane and it’s pretty amazing to look back on what we have designed and delivered. So trip down my memory lane incoming.

Had to post this one which is of my daughter when she was younger, playing in the shared play-space we designed between their loft bedrooms.

The girls both played with playmobile and little houses a lot and these play tables gave them lots of space to spread out the villages that they made without fear of stepping on the toys.

The storage doors were designed to be house elevations with windows to poke little fingers in for opening.

We always like to consider two design ideas when working on a proposals - often at the very beginning of a project there is more than one way to visualise a house. These are design ideas for a house in Notting Hill. At the back of the house we proposed a sunken sitting room/ gallery with low level windows looking out over the garden. A double height space connects the upper and lower ground floor spaces.
