Well Friday started as it means to go on 😂

Just shy of 4 hours it took to get loaded this morning….

They couldn’t apologise enough and insisted that I will get paid the waiting time but it’s not the end customer who is paying me so that’s a whole different ball game agreeing the extra costs with the courier that subbed the job to me….

Let’s see how that goes once the job is finished? What if by the time I get to Glasgow…. They have given up waiting for me and gone home? This is when a contact phone number for the delivery would be handy….. but what would I know 😂

A couple of questions for all of you “Content creators” out there……

What is going on with this post…… most of my posts attract a few hundred likes 👍 and a few muppets too 😂

But normally way less engagement than this one!!!!
Firstly…… what is so interesting about this one and secondly….. If I was to try and monetise my page what sort of money would I make? Can I get someone else to promote it and take a %?

Back to Edinburgh this morning for my sins 😂

A school classroom this time

A good customer so I dont mind a bit of handball for the right money 💰 😂

Loaded yesterday afternoon in Nottingham and headed north up the A1M only to get diverted over A66 right into a gypsy camp 😂 before getting to the M6

So decided to pull over for the night somewhere I know well 😂

Another quiet, free and pleasant night at Harthill services on the M8 last night.

A few people have said it’s not safe from the diesel fairies and curtain slashers but I’m not carrying anything I need to worry about so back doors open and park near the pumps in front of the cameras and I’m good!!!!

Yet another fantastic meal prepared for my truck fridge by my lovely wife and the breakfast deal here isn’t too bad….. breakfast wrap and a decent coffee for a fiver!!!!

Managed to get unloaded between thunderstorms and out of here in 45 minutes….

Nothing to quote so heading south again…. Living The Dream 😂

I’ve done this job before for this customer so I kinda knew what was coming 😂

Customer: what’s the biggest pallet you can get unloaded with your tail lift?

Me: the back doors are 2.45m wide so anything bigger than that could cause us problems depending how heavy the pallets are?
Customer: it’s all good, price agreed I will send it over!

I get to collection as agreed and…… Some of the pallets are 2.7m wide 😂 and heavy too!!!

Had a pleasant, quiet evening at Harthill services on the M8 and got into the old town on the wet cobblestone streets without any wrong turns or too much traction control needed? 😂 because I had been here before I knew what was coming 😂

Anyway job done and I am happy with the price I got…. Heading south empty quoting jobs as I go…… just been offered a Glasgow to Coventry for £500 😂 needless to say I declined!!!

Starting my week on a Monday for a change!

Had a fantastic weekend off and spent most of it with 5 generations of my family from my mum in her 80’s to my great grandson who is 2 now I think? 😂

It was a beautiful day at my parents house celebrating 🥳 loads of family birthdays with a huge garden party and bbq….. I manned the bbq and thoroughly enjoyed myself cooking steaks 🥩 and burgers 🍔 for 30-40 people

First job of the week completed by 9am 😂

That is probably one of the best backloads I’ve ever had!!!

Tipped in Glasgow Friday lunchtime, re-loaded at the same place and told to deliver it Monday morning to Goole meaning I can go home for the weekend then head over to Goole 75 miles away early Monday…….. But then halfway home to Manchester I got a phone call asking if I could take it to Trafford Park on Monday morning instead? 😂

Trafford Park is just around the corner from my yard….. Result or wot?????

Just getting unloaded here at siemens in Glasgow and the store man says “Are you taking back the 4 wheel sets we took out last night or is someone else coming for them?”

Pleasant enough night at that new JRS truckstop at the end of the M62. Clean showers and toilets and plenty of choice for dinner. I settled on a pint and a steak in the Brewers fare, it wasn’t what I would call cheap but I felt like a winner with that tyre problem yesterday that made my messages light up with “You should NEVER put a part worn tyre on the front axle 😂
And now for the next explosion in the comments 😂

I’ll strap the wheel sets how my customer wants me to strap them and not how facebook keyboard warriors tell me to strap them ok? 😂
