A plug-in kiln again!

Any sign of charring/burning/melting, to the plug &/or socket, call either ourselves or a qualified electrician for advice.

Saving the firing graph/data on a Nabertherm or Rohde kiln gives the engineers the opportunity to see what’s happening.
In this case, the firing was erratic only at higher temperatures, so we couldn’t see the error, nor take any measurements.
We diagnosed a possible thermocouple issue.
This was confirmed by Nabertherm factory’s Tech Support engineers.
Thermocouple replaced & the customer sent me the top (perfect) firing graph.
A good outcome, by using the technology available in the controller.

Rohde brick replacement

Luke & I rebuilt the bottom row of damaged bricks & replaced the bottom element, on a Rohde TE130. (Flipped the kiln over for access.)
12 engineer-hours, but I think, well worth it! 🧱👍🏻
