Our team has returned from another successful trip to Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas in Miami 2026!

The week kicked off at the opening party, where the team was joined by Colm Cunningham (Contracts Director) and Gerard Quinn (Senior Contracts Manager), who were also in Miami for meetings.

The MJM Marine team was pleased to engage with clients, partners and industry peers, strengthening relationships and exploring new opportunities across the cruise interiors sector.

Highlights from the event included valuable insights into how cruise projects continue to grow in scale and complexity, how design and delivery are evolving, and the growth of the refurbishment sector.

Every successful cruise ship outfitting project starts long before drydock.

Episode Three of ‘Behind the Build’ takes a closer look at the full-scale cabin mock-up developed by the MJM Marine team as part of the Azamara Forward programme.

The mock-up space allows the Azamara Cruises team to experience and test key elements of the design, layout and guest functionality ahead of installation onboard. It also gives project teams the opportunity to refine finishes, coordinate technical details and ensure the final product meets operational and guest expectations.

As part of the wider programme, MJM Marine will deliver a substantial refit onboard Azamara Quest, including the creation of a new Penthouse Deck featuring 12 new suites.

Yesterday, we proudly launched our MJM Marine Annual Charity Golf Day at our HQ in Newry.

We were joined by Eoin Caughey, Fundraising Officer at Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, our charity of the year, along with our Social, Health and Wellbeing Committee.

This year’s Charity Golf Day takes place on Friday, 3rd July at Warrenpoint Golf Club, with all proceeds going to Cancer Focus NI.

Eoin Caughey, who officially launched the event, said, “We’re absolutely delighted that MJM Marine is hosting their annual golf day at Warrenpoint Golf Club in aid of Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. The event promises to be a real highlight of our partnership in 2026.

MJM Marine is pleased to announce its appointment by Margaritaville at Sea for a major new revitalisation project. Together with sister Rathbane Group company Mivan Limited, our teams will play a significant role in the transformation of the future Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber.

The refurbishment programme will see a transformation from a Costa ship to Beachcomber, with MJM Marine responsible for delivering a number of the ship's signature areas, including the spa, children's facilities, speciality dining venues, nightclub and external VIP areas.

With decades of experience delivering complex marine outfitting projects for cruise brands around the world, we are proud to support another significant investment in the guest experience.

We look forward to working closely with the Margaritaville at Sea team to bring Beachcomber to life.
