⚓ Winterisation is well underway at PMG!

Our team has been busy working through winterisation jobs, getting our customers' vessels ready for the winter months.

As part of our winterisation process, we also carry out a Small Vessel Inspection on every vessel. This allows us to give everything a thorough check, identify any potential issues and make sure nothing is overlooked while the boat is laid up over winter.

It's all about making sure everything is in good order and ready for the spring launch! 🚤

Here's one we carried out on Friday for another of our happy, regular customers.

A busy time of year for the team, with plenty more winterisation work underway!

If your vessel still needs winterising, feel free to get in touch. We'd be happy to help.

🔧 October has been a busy one at PMG Services!

We could probably rename it hydraulic cylinder and seized pin month! Not one was easy, but the team got them all stripped one way or another, with heat, press frames, a bit of patience, and some that simply had to be cut off thanks to the forces of the universe holding them on! 😂

We’ve had a steady stream of engine work, with full rebuilds underway on some lovely older Perkins and Ford Mermaid units. The hydraulics have kept us busy looking after customers all over the west coast, and we’ve also been working on some lovely big Gardner engines for our marine customers.

⚓ Winter is coming, and the list is growing!

We’ve got plenty of boats and engines to winterise, including a lot of Volvo Penta units to inspect. The bigger supercharged engines are always interesting to work on, although we do feel for our customers when it comes to feeding them fuel! 😅

A wee reminder to all our marine customers: get in touch now and let’s avoid the March panic!

Get your inspections and servicing sorted over the winter, and when launch time comes around, all you should need is a simple run-up and check.

⚙️ ENGINE WORKS ARE COMING IN THICK AND FAST! 🔧

Winter is well and truly here, and things are getting busy with plenty of engine works underway! We’re getting stuck into repairs, top-end rebuilds and testing on Volvo, Perkins and Ford Mermaid engines.

📍 Over on the Isle of Kerrera, the Big Boss boss and our Service Manager have been busy this week, with three different engines and works to get through.

Meanwhile, back on the mainland, the rest of the team have been keeping busy with hydraulic hose repairs and call-outs, keeping our customers moving and machinery working.

A busy winter ahead for the whole team at PMG! 💪
