Achieving and maintaining CE Mark certification under BS EN 1090 involves rigorous compliance with several key requirements, including:
• Initial Type Testing of our products
• Factory Production Control (FPC), which encompasses:
• Implementation of documented FPC system procedures
• Appointment of a Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC)
• Deployment of a Welding Quality Management System (WQMS)
• Ongoing product testing in accordance with the prescribed test plan
The importance of BS EN 1090 certification cannot be overstated. BS EN 1090 is a mandatory legal requirement across the UK and Europe for manufacturers and processors of load-bearing structural steel and aluminium components. Certification demonstrates that products are manufactured under a robust quality management system, with full traceability, qualified personnel, controlled production processes, and independent third-party verification.
