Following a detailed site survey, our Projects team designed and manufactured a completely new crane control system featuring new control panels, upgraded circuitry, a replacement cross travel motor and Schneider Electric variable speed drives.

The outcome was a modern electrical system that delivers smoother operation, improved reliability, enhanced safety and complete up-to-date electrical documentation, making future maintenance far simpler.

Nine members of the Street Cranexpress team, including 8 of our engineers, are swapping overhead cranes for mountains as they take on the National 3 Peaks Challenge from 11th–14th September.

The team will be tackling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in support of Prostate Cancer UK, raising money and awareness for such an important cause.

It’s a huge challenge, and we’re incredibly proud of the team for taking it on.

We’re proud to share that Street Cranexpress engineer Dan Cooper is taking on the Altra Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday 18th October, running 26.2 miles through the historic city of York.

This challenge is in aid of Rotherham Hospice, a local charity that provides compassionate, holistic care for people living with terminal illnesses and support for their families.

A 26.2-mile marathon is no mean feat, though Dan is taking on what is regarded as one of the country’s most beautiful city runs while raising money for such a worthy cause.
