From former offices to 11 new dwellings 🏡

This residential project in South Yorkshire involved transforming an existing building into eight executive apartments, alongside a new apartment pavilion providing three additional homes.

The removal of a later 1980s office extension opened up the site, creating space for off-street parking and a more considered layout.

Working closely with the local planning authority, our team developed a scheme that gives the existing building a new purpose while respecting its character and Conservation Area setting.

A former Sheffield steelworks is set to begin a completely new chapter.

We're excited to be working with Onboard Skatepark on plans to transform the former Thessco site at Royds Mill, Sheffield.

The 120,000 sq ft industrial building will be given an entirely new purpose, creating a major skate and BMX facility alongside spaces for education, wellbeing and community use.

With planning now secured and the RIBA 03 design now completed. We’re looking forward to seeing the project progress further.

A fantastic example of how Sheffield’s industrial buildings can be creatively adapted for the future.

A contemporary farmhouse designed around its setting 🏡

Natural gritstone, coursed stonework and considered detailing around the windows and doors help create a connection with traditional rural architecture, interpreted in a contemporary way.

The orientation of the home has been carefully considered too, maximising far-reaching views while providing access to a basement car park and 200m² entertainment and leisure suite.

Behind the architecture, sustainability and performance have been integral to the design, with photovoltaic panels, ground source heating, MVHR and enhanced fabric performance incorporated into the proposals.

A home where setting, materials and performance have all helped shape the design.

Making the most of an existing home and its surroundings in South Yorkshire🏡

Set within the Green Belt and a Conservation Area, this project involved extending and remodelling a traditional rectory to create more space for modern family life.

While the front of the property was perfectly proportioned and symmetrical, the rear had limited windows and little connection to the garden.

Our proposals introduced an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, designed to bring in natural light and make the most of the surrounding countryside views.

The attic was also reconfigured to create a master bedroom, complete with an en-suite and dressing room.

A considered transformation that improves how the home works for its owners while respecting the character of the original building.
