👷‍♀️ The backbone of Rosewood? The people who keep everything organised behind the scenes. 👷‍♀️

With International Women’s Day this weekend, we wanted to recognise the fantastic women who play such an important role in our team.

At Rosewood, Anna Crowshaw (Group Finance Manager) and Samantha Colling (Administrator & Business Development) are very much the backbone of our business. From keeping our finances in order to ensuring the day-to-day running of the company stays organised, their dedication, attention to detail and professionalism help keep everything on track behind the scenes. Quite simply, the business wouldn’t run as smoothly without them.

It’s also encouraging to see greater representation of women entering the construction industry, bringing valuable skills, perspectives and energy to a sector that has traditionally been male-dominated. Across the industry, from project leadership and professional roles to skilled trades, the landscape is gradually changing for the better.

We’re also proud to have a female electrical apprentice working on one of our live sites, where she has been part of the team from the very beginning of the project, a great example of the next generation helping shape the future of construction.

To Anna, Sammy, and all the women contributing to the construction industry, thank you for the role you play in keeping projects, teams and businesses moving forward.

This week has reminded us how fortunate we are to have our office based within Southampton Airport.

We don’t like to flex, but we’re incredibly proud of our new office location. Being part of such a dynamic and historic environment makes every day a little more interesting.

Tuesday brought a nice surprise when three aircraft from the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team (Red Arrows) stopped by and parked outside our office within Signature Aviation.

The aviation theme continued through the week with two Supermarine Spitfire aircraft visiting as part of the Spitfire 90th Anniversary Celebrations, marking the anniversary of the first prototype Spitfire’s maiden flight from Southampton on 5th March 1936.

Seeing these iconic aircraft up close has been a great reminder of the incredible aviation heritage connected to the region.

Moments like this really highlight how unique the environment is here, working alongside the aviation community and experiencing things most people rarely get to see.

A great reminder of why we’re proud to be part of the Southampton International Airport Limited community.

🎭 Project Win | Mayflower Theatre, Southampton 🎭

We’re pleased to announce that our sister company Rosewood Construction Services has been appointed by DCE Electrical Limited to deliver a programme of internal refurbishment and remodelling works at the iconic Mayflower Theatre.

The scope spans multiple floors and includes:
• Careful strip-out and demolition within live areas
• New internal partitions with enhanced acoustic performance
• Re-use and adaptation of existing doors, screens and finishes
• New ceilings, flooring and second-fix carpentry
• Full decoration to newly formed spaces

Delivering works within a live, operational cultural venue demands a thoughtful, collaborative approach — maintaining safety, programme certainty and quality while minimising disruption.

We’re delighted to share that Rosewood Construction Services Ltd has successfully achieved Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) certification for HIOWAA, with an overall Performance Level: EXCELLENT.

This recognition reflects our commitment to:

Achieving strong scores across all areas is a testament to the dedication, professionalism and teamwork shown throughout the project.

A special mention to Daniel Coniam our Project Manager, for leading by example, with thanks to Samantha Colling for supporting Dan and helping showcase the hard work on site.

We’d also like to recognise Lewis Bowers for his continued dedication to charitable initiatives, which truly reflects the values we stand for as a business.

Today we welcomed ITV Meridian to site, as filming took place at the new Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance airbase, currently under construction by Rosewood Construction Services Ltd

It was great to see behind-the-scenes production underway, capturing the progress being made and the scale of what will become a vital facility for their future operations. The visit marks an important moment in raising awareness of the project and highlighting the dedication of everyone involved in bringing the new airbase to life.

Coverage like this plays a key role in helping raise the profile of the new airbase and supports ongoing fundraising efforts, which remain essential to delivering this critical infrastructure for our lifesaving service.

A big thank you to ITV Meridian and all those working behind the scenes to help share our story, RCS' Directors Lewis Bowers and Rob Brown were delighted to show off the project to the team.

Rosewood were delighted to be trusted to give the Supermarine Spitfire art installation on the iconic Spitfire Roundabout, Southampton Airport, a well-deserved spring clean.

This aircraft represents a huge part of our local aviation heritage, marking the birthplace of the Spitfire and its first flight from what is now Southampton Airport. Ensuring it’s clean, cared for, and looking its best is our small way of helping preserve that history.

The result? A gleaming Spitfire, ready to welcome travellers and locals alike as they pass this historic landmark.

What’s next? Some exciting news to follow with regards to Spitfire Roundabout, so stay tuned!
