🚐💨 Another long trip in the books! We travelled all the way from Southampton to Wales to carry out a full heat pump service and system health check.

This system continues to impress, delivering over 500% efficiency across the year, with the heating side alone achieving nearly 550% efficiency 🤯. Proof that when a system is designed, installed and maintained correctly, heat pumps can deliver incredible results.

🔧 During today’s visit we:
✅ Re-balanced the heating system following several radiator replacements
✅ Checked system water conductivity and pH levels – all spot on
✅ Replaced damaged Primary Pro external insulation after discovering the local rats have developed a taste for premium pipe lagging 🐀😂
✅ Fully stripped down and deep cleaned the heat pump (she was definitely due a clean!)
✅ Designed an underfloor heating extension and left the customer with everything needed to build their own manifold, along with a bespoke design and layout

Regular servicing, water quality checks and system optimisation are key to maintaining peak efficiency and keeping running costs low.

Following on from our last post that’s had a lot of attention, we thought we’d explain exactly what was done and why.

This was a seriously tight plant room installation featuring a Vaillant heat pump, Heat Geek designed system, and a new Newark cylinder with a massive 6m² coil. Due to the restricted space, we even had to custom-build a new door and lining just to get the cylinder into position.

We’ve seen plenty of comments about the pipework runs, but what matters is system performance. Despite the long runs, the system achieves excellent flow rates throughout and operates exactly as designed. Every decision was made for performance, efficiency, serviceability, and the constraints of the property.

The finished result is a clean, professional installation that delivers outstanding performance for the customer.

Not every install is straightforward, and sometimes the best engineering solution isn’t the most obvious one from a 30-second video.

On this project we teamed up with Heat Geek to deliver a true zero-disruption installation — keeping the customer comfortable from start to finish.

Here’s what we carried out:
