This week, Tower Construction finally took delivery of our three new excavators, which are now awaiting signwriting, marking another important step in our continued investment in the business.

As we move through 2026, we are proud to have invested just under £1 million into strengthening our demolition and groundworks service offering, supporting our ongoing work on a long-term defence project. This investment reflects both our confidence in the future and our commitment to building the capability needed for projects of this scale.

2026 also marks our fourth year working within this defence location, and we are pleased to have secured a further two years of work. We are now six weeks into our latest project phase, which will take us through to 2028.

During this period, Tower Construction has continued to grow significantly, with turnover increasing alongside our operational capacity. This progress is a direct result of the hard work, consistency and professionalism shown by the team over the last three years.

Although we are unable to share details of the exact location or the works being carried out, and unfortunately cannot share project photos, we are extremely proud of what has been achieved so far and look forward to getting the new machinery to work.

Current job: Demolition of 60 + disused single-storey buildings, with further groundworks and construction works planned on the same location.

Demolition experience (single-storey buildings)
Experience operating 10-tonne+ machines
Valid CPCS/NPORS 360 ticket
Can work on own initiative
Proof of right to work in the UK

Experienced Hook Loader Driver – Shoeburyness

We’ve got a new hook loader and need a reliable driver based out of Shoeburyness, Essex.

Work includes:

Plant collections and deliveries
Drop/collect bins and skips
Daily walk-round checks & defect reporting
Helping keep the vehicle compliant under our Restricted O-Licence (maintenance records, inspections etc.)

Requirements: HGV (Class 2), CPC, Digital Tacho.

Founded in 2015, Tower Group delivers construction, refurbishment, and remediation projects across a variety of sectors, including MOD, rail, public sector, major loss insurance, and other regulated environments.

We typically deliver projects ranging from £50k to £3m. The business has achieved consistent year-on-year growth, with a strong forward order book into 2026 and beyond. Most projects are based across Essex and Greater London.

Current Vacancies

Machine Excavator Driver (Up to 14T+ ) – Immediate Start
Start of the year based in Braintree, with the majority of works at Shoeburyness for approximately the next 18 months.

Applicants must hold relevant excavator tickets to operate up to 14-ton excavators. Groundworks experience is essential and demolition experience is preferred.

Hook Loader Driver (Class 2 / 8-Wheeler) –

February Start

This role is Essex-based only and involves transporting waste and machinery using hook loader and light vehicles.
Applicants must hold a Class 2 licence. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing daily vehicle checks and coordinating vehicle maintenance.

Labourers – Shoeburyness

Labourers required for our Shoeburyness site.

Applicants must hold a valid CSCS card and be willing to complete training where required. Ideally, applicants should be able to travel to and from site independently.

Groundworker

We are looking to take on an experienced Groundworker with knowledge of hard landscaping and general groundworks.
Applicants must hold a valid CSCS card and a UK driving licence.

Multi Trader

We are always interested in hearing from Multi Traders who enjoy a varied workload and can carry out a mixture of works.

Applicants may have a specific trade background but must be confident working across multiple tasks as required.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

A senior, hands-on position suited to an experienced Quantity Surveyor confident operating autonomously and building commercial processes from the ground up.

HSEQ Manager

We are looking for an experienced HSEQ Manager to strengthen compliance and governance, manage and improve our HSEQ systems, and support the business as we grow while maintaining the professionalism and quality we are known for.

🎄🏃‍♂️ Rudolph Run Complete! 🏃‍♀️🎄

What a brilliant day Sunday was! The Tower team completed the Rudolph Run together and we’re incredibly proud of everyone involved.

Thanks to your amazing support, we raised £1,450 for Havens Hospice 💙 — an incredible achievement for a truly worthwhile cause.

A massive thank you to everyone who took part, and to everyone who donated. It was great to get together, and we honestly can’t believe how well everyone did such a fantastic effort all round!

Scaffolding going up on our Frinton project!

Back in 2023, we rebuilt the balconies on part of the flats, and now we’re back again to redecorate and carry out minor repairs to the front elevation.

The former Grand Hotel, now converted into flats, is getting an external makeover. We’re also carrying out investigations across the block to help schedule works for the coming years.

The view from the top of the scaffold is incredible and we can’t wait to see this beautiful building looking at its best again. We love working on buildings with history and the unique challenges they bring.

One year on, our solar panels are paying off — in more ways than one ☀️🚗

EV fuel savings: £7,050/year

Solar electricity savings: £3,100/year

💰 Combined annual savings: £10,150/year

🌍 Carbon impact (solar): ~2.8–3.1 tonnes CO₂e avoided compared to UK grid electricity

🌍 Carbon impact (EVs): ~11.4 tonnes CO₂e avoided from not burning diesel

Total CO₂e avoided: ~14.2 tonnes/year

A couple of years ago, we made the decision to invest heavily in sustainable energy and electric transport. In 2023, we took a big step forward installing 54 solar panels on the roof of our offices, upgrading insulation, and fitting efficient heating systems.

Before installation, our in-house Solar Design team analysed how we used power. With 90% of our electricity demand occurring during daylight hours, we decided battery storage wasn’t necessary at this stage. Instead, we installed intelligent EV chargers that automatically ramp up charging whenever excess solar power is available.

We now run 3 electric vehicles and actively encourage our team to charge their personal EVs at work directly from the sun. 🌞

The last 12 months in numbers:

13.7 MWh of clean energy generated

15.1 MWh consumed 45% from solar, 55% from the grid

50% of solar power used on-site, 50% exported back to the grid
Lower running costs and a greener fleet

This investment has been more than just a financial win for the Tower Group it’s significantly reduced our carbon footprint. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we began to see the benefits, both environmentally and economically.

Looking ahead, our goal is to expand our electric vehicle fleet and further embed sustainable practices across our on-site teams.
