Is the scariest thing you’ve seen this Halloween your own inbox? 👻

Unanswered emails lurking on page two, diary clashes waiting to jump out at you and that admin pile you keep promising you’ll tackle tomorrow. Enough to give any business owner nightmares!

Luckily, I’m far happier sorting out your admin than watching a horror film. 🎃

At Empowered VA Services, I can help manage your inbox, organise your diary, chase invoices and get those everyday jobs moving, so they stop haunting your evenings.

You don’t need to get everything organised before asking for help. Hand over the muddle and we’ll work through it together.

Send me a message and let’s take the horror out of your admin. 🦇

If a customer asked how to work with you today, would you have an easy answer ready?

A clear explanation of your service, what happens next and how to get started can save a lot of back-and-forth.

It also means you don’t have to type a slightly different version every time an enquiry arrives.

That’s the sort of admin I enjoy helping with: making everyday jobs easier to repeat, so they take less time next week than they did this week.

Message me if your enquiry process could do with some attention.

What’s the task you keep moving to tomorrow?

You know the one.

It’s been on three different lists. You’ve rewritten it in a nicer pen. It may now have its own postcode.

Sometimes it needs a proper slot in your diary. Sometimes it needs a decision. Sometimes you’d be very happy for someone else to deal with it.

Tell me yours in the comments. Mine would never be helped by buying another notebook, obviously. 👀

Before you open your inbox this morning, decide what you actually need to achieve today.

I know. Your inbox has other ideas.

But if you start by responding to everyone else’s priorities, it’s very easy to reach lunchtime without touching your own.

Pick one thing that would make today feel productive. Give it some space in your diary.

And if the admin keeps swallowing that space, that’s something I can help with.

Message me if you’d like support making your working week feel more manageable.

Yesterday I was in Bristol supporting Fiona and the Scott Media team at the expo.

Being a VA doesn’t always mean sitting behind a laptop. Sometimes it means being there in person, getting stuck in and giving someone an extra pair of hands when they need them.

That’s something I want more business owners to know. You don’t have to wait until you’re drowning in admin to ask for support, and you don’t need a perfectly organised list of jobs to hand over either.

You can start with, “This is taking up too much of my time. Can you help?”

Whether that’s keeping on top of your inbox, getting your social media out consistently or helping with the practical side of a busy day, we can work out what would make your life easier.

What’s the one thing you’d happily hand over next week? Drop me a message and let’s talk.

What’s the job in your business that makes you think:

“I really need to do that…”

…and then you move it to tomorrow?

Again.

I’m genuinely curious.

Mine definitely changes depending on the week, but every business owner has at least one.

Tell me yours below.

A client doesn't necessarily need 20 hours of support a week to make outsourcing worthwhile.

Sometimes two hours is enough.

Two hours of inbox organisation.

Two hours scheduling content.

Two hours updating documents.

Two hours chasing things that have fallen through the cracks.

Two hours doing something that would otherwise eat into your evening.

Outsourcing doesn't have to mean handing over half your business.

It can simply mean giving yourself a little bit of breathing room.

I didn’t start my business because I dreamed of having a perfectly colour-coded diary and spending my days talking about productivity.

I started it because I wanted something of my own.

And over time, it’s grown into a business where I get to help other business owners build something of theirs.

Sometimes that means taking social media off their hands.

Sometimes it means managing admin.

Sometimes it means doing the jobs that have been sitting on their list for three months because something more urgent always comes along.

There’s something very satisfying about being the person who can say, “Leave that with me.”

A big part of my job that people don’t really see is the thinking that happens before anything gets posted.

It’s not just opening Canva, making something look nice and writing a caption.

I’m looking at what the business is trying to achieve, what their customers are likely to respond to, what we’ve already talked about recently and what we need to keep repeating so the message actually sticks.

Then there’s the planning, the scheduling, the client updates, the ideas, the tweaks and usually a fair bit of moving things around when priorities change.

That’s the bit I actually enjoy.

Taking all the noise in someone’s head and turning it into something that feels clear, organised and manageable.

Because for most business owners, social media isn’t the only thing on the list.

It’s just one of the many things they’re trying to keep on top of.

One thing I see all the time is business owners putting loads of pressure on themselves to post constantly.

Three times a week. Five times a week. Every day.

But posting more doesn’t automatically mean your social media is working.

If you’re sitting there thinking, “I need to put something up today” and then scrambling around for an idea just to keep the page active, that’s not really a strategy.

When I’m planning content for a client, I’m thinking about who we’re trying to reach, what we actually want people to know about the business and what’s going to make someone stop and pay attention.

Sometimes that means posting less.

Sometimes it means repeating the same message in a few different ways.

And sometimes it means ditching an idea completely because it looks nice but it’s not actually doing anything.

You don’t need to be everywhere all the time.

You just need to have a reason for what you’re posting.
