Trio has released a new I/O slice that adds high-density analogue sensor integration with precise signal measurement to enhance machine control.
The new P359 Flexslice 8-In Analogue Current Input Module adds eight 4-20mA input terminals within a compact slice footprint measuring just 15mm wide.
The new I/O slice is designed to integrate analogue ranged sensors and is ideal to measure variables such as distance or temperature.
Each of the eight input terminals is digitised to 12-bit resolution, providing precise, granular measurement of 4,096 discrete steps across the 4-20mA range.
High measurement accuracy is achieved with 100µA input accuracy and high-speed input frequency of 100kHz.
The new I/O module is compatible with Trio’s Flex-6X Nano and Flex-7 Flexslice controllers as well as Trio’s EtherCAT Flexslice System I/O.
The positive "click-to-lock" mechanism firmly clamps Flexslice modules to each other to form a Flexslice station. Simply push each module together and slide the quick release locks into position. Meanwhile, the slice’s analogue inputs feature tool-free, push-in wiring terminals.
The P359 Flexslice module also provides robust signal handling as the 4-20mA input is less prone to noise than voltage signals.
Adding reliability, the input terminals also feature ±25 V voltage protection and 3.75 kV isolation. The I/O system can operate in temperatures ranging from 0-45°C.
