Austin Utilities responded to an electrical fault on a wind farm in March Cambridgeshire, where we identified and excavated the affected area to prepare it for EDF Energy's installation of new cables and restoration of power to the grid. After the connection was completed, we backfilled the site, restoring it back to its original condition.

*FULL SUBSTATION CONSTRUCTION*

Austin Utilities completed a full construction of a substation, built entirely from the ground up. Utilising our pre-installed ducting, we pulled the cables into their designated locations in preparation for the transformers. After we installed the fencing, we finalised the project with tasks such as painting and restoring the surrounding area to its original condition. This project was particularly rewarding, as its allowed us to see significant progress within a short timeframe and provided great satisfaction in its construction.

This new build school project in Basildon presented a unique challenge due to the presence of multiple sharp turns and awkward angles. However, after inspecting the routes our team quickly got to work.
