STUNNING AUDI RS3 IN THE SHOP 🚀

034 Motorsport camber & caster top mounts installed, followed by a full Joey’s Speed Shop geometry setup.

The car arrived with the rear ride height sitting excessively high. On inspection, it was clear that the underlying issue wasn’t simply ride height, it was the rear suspension geometry.

The rear wheels were rubbing against the bodywork under compression. Rather than addressing the geometry, the previous setup had relied on raising the rear ride height to create clearance. This had compromised the car’s stance, suspension behaviour and overall handling.

Simply raising the car wasn’t the answer. The geometry needed to be corrected and the car dialled in to suit the customer’s requirements.

No more masking the problem with excessive ride height. Just a properly set-up RS3 that looks right and drives exactly as it should 🏁

PORSCHE 992 GT3 🏁

This 992 GT3 came into Joey’s Speed Shop for a full geometry setup after the customer reported uneven tyre wear and a slight pull while driving.

A few issues found along the way, but all sorted and the car is now back on the road, driving exactly as it should.

BMW M2 G87 🚀

Millway street camber plates installed, followed by a full Joey’s Speed Shop geometry setup.

The customer wanted to retain the factory EDC system and performance springs with the standard dampers, so this setup worked a treat 🏁

The Millway camber plates allow us to dial in more front camber, helping reduce that familiar understeer and give the front end more bite when pushing on track, all while keeping the factory damping system.

Now, can you leave some rear downforce for the rest of us? 😂

The suspension was dialled in specifically for track use, with ride heights, camber, caster (fixed), toe and corner weights all set with the car’s intended use in mind.

INTRAX SUSPENSION REBUILD 🏁

Winter is the perfect time to get your suspension refreshed and ready for next season.

This Intrax setup came into the workshop for a rebuild, with various service options available depending on the condition of the dampers and the level of refresh required.

🔧 Full strip-down and inspection
🔧 Replacement of worn or damaged parts where required
🔧 Damper body DU bushes cleaned, inspected and re-greased with the specific hi temperature grease
🔧 Top mount bearings stripped, cleaned, inspected and re-greased
🔧 Bearings checked for excessive play and wear
🔧 Springs inspected for cracks and corrosion
🔧 All hardware reinstalled using the correct torque settings and specified thread-locking compound

Renault Clio RS200 | Alien Green 💚

This Alien Green RS200 came into the workshop for a major service, using genuine parts wherever applicable.

During our inspection, we found a nasty mark on the sump where someone had previously attempted a repair using JB Weld. Needless to say, we weren’t having any of that! A new sump was fitted along with fresh hardware and a new gasket.

We also found the gearbox mount had torn, so this was replaced with a new one.

To finish things off, a set of Megane RS seats were test-fitted before being sent to Richard Gledhill for repair and retrimming. Once back, the seats were installed and coded to suit the car.

An awesome little Renaultsport with a new lease of life! 💚

Back into storage it goes, ready for the next outing.

BMW M240i 🚀

Full geometry setup carried out at Joey’s Speed Shop.

As with every vehicle that comes through the workshop, we carried out a thorough inspection before getting started. During this, we found a few issues, the main one being the rear suspension had been fitted incorrectly.

Before carrying out the geometry setup, we corrected the suspension installation to ensure everything was fitted and operating as it should.

We also identified excessive wear and tearing in the rear propshaft donut. The customer has since ordered the replacement parts and will get this addressed before heading off to Spa and the Nürburgring for some track days later this month 🏁

Audi RS3 8Y 🚀

This RS3 came into Joey’s Speed Shop for a geometry setup, with the customer also reporting a wheel wobble at higher speeds.

As always, we carried out a full health check before getting to work. We cleaned up some oil residue left over from a recent service, checked all the relevant mating faces and put the wheels through the balancing machine.

The wheels weren’t quite where they needed to be, so we corrected the balance and repositioned the weights correctly to get everything running as it should.

Another happy customer, with the wheel wobble resolved and the car feeling spot on again! 👌

Even better, they’re already booked back in for some more work.
