🔥 SATURDAY SMARTEN UP 🔥

One of todays jobs was for a lovely young lady in Whickham, I was contacted to originally change a stopcock and take a look if the pipework in a newly bought property could be neatened up and to relocate and reinstall a new toilet✅️

We arrived this morning to remove the shambles which was already there, we got to work installing new 40mm waste for the kitchen sink, a 32mm waste for the bathroom basin, all new 15mm copper pipe for all outlets and clipping it all to the wall ✅️

Making sure to install new valves for new dishwasher and washing machine

On inspection of the property, and knowing the customer was wanting to make adjustments to walls, we tested and removed old gas pipes aswell as blanking some other gas pipes that were still in use 🔥

A very happy customer on departure and it was a pleasure to see someone so pleased 😃

🔥 SAME DAY VISIT AND REPAIR 🔥

Yesterday I was contacted about a baxi duo-tec combi boiler that was leaking in South Shields, I managed to rearrange some jobs to make sure I could get there due to the customer being an elderly bed ridden lady who needed some heating 🥺

It was quickly discovered that the diverter cartridge had failed and had taken the motor with it due to water damage 💧🚿

The parts were collected and I returned to change the faulty parts after safely isolating the appliance and draining it down ✅️

Hot water and heating were then tested before I commenced with the regulation 26.9 checks to ensure the boiler was working safely and correctly 🔥

Customer was ecstatic on completion and it made my day to know ive helped such a vulnerable lovely lady 🥰

💥 Out with the old and in with the new 💥

Yesterdays job in Washington was for a lovely family and I was contacted to remove a baxi combi boiler that had given up and was beyond economical repair and replace with a brand new Alpha E-Tec 28NX

• System was cleaned and flushed in accordance with manufacturers instructions ✅️

• A new Alpha in-line cyclone magnetic filter was fitted to catch any future debris aswell as adding another extra years warranty to the appliance ✅️

Not boiler related but wanted to leave my own recommendation to another small independent business, I've had a few issues with my van as some of my customers know

After being messed around by mechanics and garages that I wont name, I then contacted Garage & Plant Services

Dave was able to diagnose the issue within 10 minutes and get it all up and running in no time, anyone after any diagnostics or repairs should contact them.

💥 Ending the week right 💥

Todays job was for a very good friend of mine in South Shields who contacted me to replace a Baxi boiler that was beyond economical repair, aswell as a having a flue that was leaking

We arrived this morning to install a brand new Alpha Evoke 28 NX with a massive 8 years parts and labour warranty ✅️

• System was flushed in accordance with manufacturers instructions and inhibitor added to prevent corrosion in the future ✅️

• An Alpha in-line magnetic cyclone filter was fitted to collect any future debris or sludge from the system, aswell as adding another extra years warranty 📖✅️

• New flue extensions were fitted in accordance with british standards and correctly braced ✅️

• A new wireless EPH CP4 thermostat was installed to save the customer going upstairs everytime they want the heating on ✅️

• Appliance was commissioned and all safety checks completed ✅️

Happy faces all round on departure and thats what makes this career worth while 😍

💥 Another successful week 💥

Finally getting around to showcase a couple of jobs completed this week

Firstly, I had a text from an amazing lady I'd known for years saying her boiler had finally given up after being ran to fail 🚫

We arrived the next morning to replace the old Baxi 80 HE with a brand new Alpha evoke 28nx 🔥

• System was chemically flushed and cleaned ✅️

• An alpha in-line cyclone magnetic filter was installed to catch future sludge and debris aswell as adding another years warranty ✅️

• A new condensate was cored and fed through into a newly installed hopper head on the downpipe as per British standards ( aswell as being lagged to prevent freezing ) ✅️

• A new wireless eph cp4 thermostat was installed

• 8 years parts and labour warranty ✅️

• All safety tests completed and appliance was commissioned in accordance with manufacturers instructions ✅️

Secondly,

I had a call to update an old radiator for a lovely customer in Washington , I arrived a few days later to drain down the system, remove the old style radiator and replace with a more modern, efficient DPX radiator ♻️✅️

Inhibitor was topped up in the system to prevent corrosion

💥 Just a few before and after pictures of some of todays jobs in Washington and South Shields 💥

Firstly, there was a boiler service on a Worcester Greenstar 30CDi, the boiler was drained from the very poorly placed drain valve, ( making sure to cover the PCB to protect from water damage )

Then, the expansion vessel was topped up to 0.9 bar, the magnacleanse was cleaned of sludge build up, the condensate trap was removed and cleaned and I then removed the spark electrodes to make sure they were in good condition which they were.

Appliance was analysed and all safety checks done and signed off ✅️.

Next, I turned up to a property where the soldered joint had started leaking on the cold inlet pipe, and the rubber condensate elbow had corroded, causing quite a considerable drip of acidic water to escape

This was all renewed and tested before completing my regulation 26.9 checks as standard ✅️

Next, I had a customer phone to say their radiator valve was leaking, causing pressure to drop on the system , I arrived to drain down the system and remove the old valves before installing new upto date TRV and lockshield valves on the radiator, giving the customer more control of their heating in that particular room ✅️

Just a couple of photos from one of todays job for a lovely elderly couple in Washington

I was contacted on Tuesday about a radiator that was split in the middle and a new one was required so I turned up today and replaced it with a more upto date and more efficient DPX radiator

Inhibitor was topped up in the system to protect it from corrosion and the system was balanced to generate equal heat throughout the house ✅️🔥

Next, they had an old tap which was leaking from the cartridge and was rusted underneath the worktop. This was quickly swapped out for a similar style as the previous one and also upgrading the copper pipework under the sink 😀
