Stoketon Cross continues to take shape, with significant progress now visible across both the new junction and spine road.
Managing works on the A38 between Plymouth and Liskeard requires careful planning and coordination, with the team successfully advancing the scheme while maintaining traffic on one of the South West's busiest strategic routes.
Across the western side of the scheme, the attenuation pond is now operational, earthworks have been completed, first-stage surfacing has been laid and the new roundabout is progressing well. Alongside this progress, the new spine road is becoming increasingly visible, with earthworks complete, drainage underway and the first sections of surfacing now in place.
Next stages of the project include drainage, kerbing, topsoiling and continued highway activities as the scheme builds towards another major milestone. August will see the team commence a programme of night-time working to deliver the central section of the roundabout, helping maintain momentum while returning the A38 to traffic each morning.
Momentum continues to build as the project moves towards its next major phase of delivery.
