We’re proud to support Montel team member Brendan as he takes on the Wild Atlantic Way Ride; Mizen Head to Malin Head Cycle Challenge 2026 in July.

Brendan will be taking on the challenge of cycling more than 500 miles over five days along Ireland’s west coast as part of the Birmingham Irish Cycle Appeal, raising funds for several fantastic causes, including:

Celebrating the A435 Cheltenham Cycleway Opening!

Last week, the Montel team were proud to attend the event at Cheltenham Tigers Rugby Club, marking a significant milestone for the A435 Cheltenham to Bishop’s Cleeve Cycleway.

The day brought together local leaders, partners and the wider community to celebrate the
impact of the project, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and speeches from key figures including Olympic cyclist Chris Boardman.

For Montel, it was a great opportunity to showcase the work behind the scheme; from early planning through to delivery. We were particularly pleased to highlight the social value
delivered as part of the scheme, including the pathway connection at Bishop’s Cleeve School,
helping to create safer, more accessible routes for the local community.

It was also great to see the event open up to the public in the afternoon, with interactive
activities, demonstrations and a real focus on active travel and healthier communities.

A huge thank you to Sue Fiore for putting her baking talent to brilliant use in support of the Youth Adventure Trust.

After attending the Youth Adventure Trust annual dinner last year (which we were proud to sponsor), Sue Fiore was invited to bake cakes for their Somerset Cycle charity event, and she has delivered in style (as always!).

We love seeing the Montel team and their families getting behind causes that make a genuine difference to people and were pleased to support Sue and Youth Adventure Trust on this occasion.

In June, Adam Jarvis (Senior Buyer) and a team will be taking on the Longest Day Golf Challenge in memory of his Dad, Tony Jarvis.

Tony was a well-known and respected figure in the industry for over 40 years. In 2025, he passed away suddenly following a short illness, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Marking the anniversary, Adam and a team are taking on a challenge that reflects the determination and resilience Tony was known for, while raising vital funds for two charities close to the cause.
