You want more space and more light. But should it be an extension or an orangery?
The honest answer is that it depends on how you live. So start with the questions, not the drawings.
What will the room be used for every day? How do you want it to connect to the rest of the house? How much natural light do you want, and where?
Talk through those with someone who has built both and can tell you what each would mean for your home. A good choice at the start saves a lot of changes later.
And once you've decided, one project manager can look after the build from start to finish, with the right tradespeople there at the right time.
