This batch of galvanised access platforms and stairs for a data centre project is complete. It’s being collected tomorrow for transport to site.

Each unit was fabricated in-house with:

✅ Hot-dip galvanised steel frames
✅ Anti-slip grating on decks and treads
✅ Full handrails, knee rails and kick plates
✅ Bolted connections and base plates so they go together quickly

Proud to see Carlow-made steelwork heading out to support data centre infrastructure in Spain. Thanks to the team for another great job. 👏

A good day's work 😉 on the move 🚛

This load of fabricated steel for a data centre project is heading to Northern Ireland for galvanising before it goes to site for assembly.

Made here in our workshop and delivered on our own crane lorry. We can look after the whole job, from fabrication through to delivery, whenever it's needed.

Yesterday we took safe delivery of the 5 tonne gantry crane we have supplied for installation at our customer's premises.

This is the second gantry crane we've done for them, and it's always great to be asked back!

Our lads fabricated and installed the steel support frame, and now the crane is going in.

To finish, we'll carry out the GA1 inspection, so it'll be certified and ready to work from day one.

There's nothing better than a job we can take from start to finish. Thanks to our customer for trusting us with it, and to the crew for their hard work as always 💪

🏗️ It’s not only the large steel frames and platforms going through our workshop. We also fabricate smaller bespoke frames and assemblies as part of our ongoing work for the data-centre sector.

📐 Different scale, same requirements — accuracy, consistency and getting every detail right.

🎉Today we’re celebrating a very special birthday for Mick who turns the big 7-0! 🥳

He officially retired a few years ago… but clearly nobody told him that retirement means you’re supposed to stop coming to work! 😂 Thankfully for us, he’s still out and about, keeping things moving (literally) and always ready to lend a hand.

Wishing you a very Happy 70th Birthday, Mick! 🥳 Here’s to many more happy and healthy years 🍻

Delighted to have been awarded Best Scale Up at the Powerhouse Generator competition yesterday, hosted by Carlow County Council and South East Technological University.

The award was judged on a business pitch, giving me the opportunity to share a snapshot the Murphy Engineering story, our growth journey and our plans for the future.
