Celebrating Our Own: SU Employees Recognised at the 2026 Husab Marathon
More than 230 Swakop Uranium employees participated in the 2026 Husab Marathon, demonstrating determination, endurance and a shared commitment to healthy living into action.
Among them, colleagues delivered outstanding performances across the 42.2 km, 21.1 km, 10 km distances, 5km and disability awards, earning well-deserved recognition in the Special Swakop Uranium Category that was created, with official finishing times used to determine the first-, second- and third-place male and female finishers across each race distance.
During the prize handover, Executive Vice President Irvinne Simataa congratulated the winners, highlighting that their achievements represent more than finishing times and medals. At Swakop Uranium, excellence is not simply about first across the line; it is about continually challenging ourselves, supporting one another and striving to do better.
