Serving up team spirit!

The Bannerman team recently swapped the office for the sand, taking part in the annual Swakopmund Corporate Volleyball Tournament.

It was a day all about teamwork, camaraderie and a bit of friendly competition. Families joined in too, making it a true Bannerman team day.

The tournament also supports young Namibian athletes with the potential to compete at national and international level.

We finished 19th out of 36 teams, but came away with plenty of smiles, a few bruises and some great memories.

What does success look like for Bannerman over the next year?

At the recent 2026 Mining Expo, Interim CEO Danie van Aswegen joined a panel discussion to share an update on the Etango Project and reflect on the milestones that matter as the project continues to progress.

Looking ahead, Danie shares his vision of what success would mean for Bannerman Mining Resources Namibia in the year ahead.

Construction at the Etango Uranium Project is becoming increasingly visible across the dry circuit, as work advances on this key area of the processing plant.

The dry circuit will form an important part of Etango’s processing infrastructure, incorporating the crushing and screening stages that prepare ore for the heap leach process.

With civil and structural works progressing across the area, each stage is bringing Etango closer to its next phase of development.

We are proud to see Mike Leech, one of the Directors of Bannerman Mining Resources Namibia, recognised as one of the World Nuclear Association’s Everyday Heroes.

With more than 40 years of service to Namibia’s uranium mining sector, Mike’s leadership and commitment have contributed significantly to establishing Namibia as a responsible and respected global uranium producer.

This recognition is a fitting acknowledgement of his lasting contribution to the industry and to Namibia’s standing within the global nuclear energy community.

Meet Mike Leech, Director, Bannerman Mining Resources Namibia, one of World Nuclear Association's Everyday Heroes. Recognised for his lasting contribution to Namibia's uranium mining sector, Mike has spent more than 40 years helping establish the country as one of the world's most environmentally and socially responsible sources or uranium.

As Managing director of Rossing Uranium, he played a key role in founding the Namibian Uranium Association, helping promote sustainable practices across the industry.

Beyond the mining sector, Mike has supported a range of organisations dedicated to Namibia's economic, environmental and community development, leaving a lasting impact on the country and it's people

Bannerman is committed to protecting Namibia’s unique landscapes. On 17 July 2026, we supported the rehabilitation of illegal vehicle tracks in the Moon Landscape area, helping to restore this fragile desert environment and preserve Namibia’s natural heritage.

Early Works at the Etango Project continues to create meaningful opportunities for Namibian businesses, contractors and professionals.

To date, N$690 million in local construction contracts, N$109 million in local professional services, and N$1.6 million per month supporting the local Owner Team and administration have been committed to Namibian companies and people.

Through local procurement, employment and skills development, Bannerman is helping build capacity and create lasting value as we progress Etango.

The Bannerman Energy Board recently visited the Campus in Windhoek, operated by the One Economy Foundation, a 5% shareholder in the Etango Project.

The visit provided an opportunity to tour the Campus, engage with the Foundation’s team and see the impressive range of facilities and services available to the community.

It was inspiring to see firsthand the welcoming environment the Campus has created and the breadth of opportunities it provides to young Namibians through education, skills development, health and wellbeing support.

Bannerman is proud of its longstanding relationship with the One Economy Foundation and our shared commitment to creating broader social value through the development of Etango.
