We're looking for a postdoc to work with us for 1 year from October 2025, either with us in Wellington, New Zealand, or remotely from elsewhere in the world.

In our project, titled: ā€œIntegrating AI and Additive Manufacturing for Biomimetic Adaptive Building FaƧadesā€, we plan to develop next-generation adaptive building faƧades that reduce energy use and emissions by combining AI, 3D printing, and plant-inspired 4D-printed biomaterials.

Weā€™re looking for someone with a PhD in Building Science, Architectural Engineering, or a related field. Youā€™d have a strong background in building performance simulation, including expertise in energy modelling, daylight analysis, thermal and visual comfort assessment, and airflow analysis.
