Another exciting project underway for Waitara Pools in New Plymouth.
This new installation will provide heating across 4 existing pools, including the 33m six-lane outdoor pool, the toddler and learning pool, and the 4m deep dive pool.
For this project, we are supplying four 8GP100-3vm direct heating heat pumps rather than one large unit. This specialised setup allows for greater redundancy and more flexible installation.
With the site located only 1.5km from the ocean and alongside the river, corrosion resistance was a major consideration during the design process. To help combat the harsh coastal environment, these units feature powder-coated stainless-steel panels, super hydrophobic coated corrosion resistant evaporator coils, along with composite fans for improved durability and long-term performance.
Another standout feature of this installation is the advanced remote monitoring system. This technology allows our team in Auckland to monitor system performance, log faults, track operating data, and provide faster support when needed. The system also records electricity usage, giving the New Plymouth District Council valuable insight into energy efficiency, operational savings, and reduced carbon emissions.
