A massive congratulations to Ashley, Dylan, and Jacob from our Taranaki team for passing their STMS Cat A-B practical assessments!

We couldn't be prouder to see the team continuing to grow, achieve, and hit these major milestones.

Special thanks to Kenneth for doing a top-notch job as verifier and making sure the crew was fully prepared to nail their final assessment with Jase.

Awesome teamwork and dedication all round.

Every year on the 5th of August, we celebrate the silent sentinels keeping our roads safe and orderly.

While the world's first electric traffic lights popped up in Cleveland back in 1914, New Zealand's first traffic light wasn't installed until 1931 in Wellington. This marked the exciting start of modern, safer travel for Kiwi drivers .

Whilst there isn't an official national tally of every individual light bulb, there are over 2,500 'signalised intersections' across the country helping to manage our traffic flow.

We’re happy to share that our Tōtika certification has been successfully renewed for 2026–2027!

If you aren't familiar with Tōtika, it’s the standard health and safety framework used in the construction industry to evaluate suppliers. It gives our clients peace of mind knowing that our safety practices are independently assessed and held to a high standard before we step onto any job site.

We are delighted to introduce Lara Harris who joined us this year as our Growth & Innovation Coordinator, after having spent four years in the wider traffic management industry.

In this newly created role, Lara is doing the heavy lifting to keep our operations running smoothly - from designing TMPs to supporting the wider TMP and Operations teams. Plus, she’s helping to support our risk management approach throughout the business.

For Lara, the best part of the job is all about connecting with new people while driving our business into the future of traffic management.

When she’s not shaping traffic solutions, Lara is usually out exploring new countries, doing tank and free diving, playing footy, or having a good yarn with mates.

We believe that our greatest asset is our people, so seeing our team members hit professional milestones is exactly what we love to foster.

We'd therefore like to congratulate our team members James and Willie from Silverdale for passing their STMS US31963 assessments.

Both started as traffic controllers, progressed to TMO-P, and were then encouraged to move up and become the next generation of STMSs.

Thanks to our crew members Troy (an amazing TC) for assisting on deck for the assessment and to Floyd, for his great mentoring and development skills that helped these two realise their potential.

Well done gents on levelling up and attaining this milestone.

Happy International Safe Places to Work Day.

When we talk about workplace safety, standard images come to mind of hard hats, fire drills, and ergonomic chairs. But physical safety is only half the battle - psychological safety matters just as much.

Today we are reminded that a truly safe environment is one that is built on an open and supportive work culture. A place where personal wellbeing is just as a priority as the right gear and safety procedures.

Good mental health = good workplace safety.

Supporting our people as they grow and succeed is what we're all about, so we are incredibly proud to celebrate the success of our crew member Mitchell for passing his STMS (US31963) assessment in Silverdale.

To help reach these qualifications requires a team approach. A massive thank you therefore to those who helped Mitchell - Jairah & Willie, for being an awesome deck crew on the day and Floyd, for his dedicated mentoring and development throughout Mitchell’s journey to ensure he was fully prepped and competent.

Congratulations Mitchell on this great achievement. It’s not just about the qualification it’s about the hard work, growth, and dedication that gets you there.

With the kids heading back to the classroom this week, the morning rush is back. Let’s look out for each other and keep our tamariki safe.

Slow down in school zones, especially during gloomy winter mornings where visibility is not as good.

Put the phone away—distracted driving isn't worth the risk.

Watch for little ones darting out between parked cars or rushing to catch the bus.

An extra five minutes on your commute is a small price to pay to keep our kids safe. Drive safe out there!
