New Zealand Recycling Week

The 2026 theme is "Identifying Opportunities." This theme encourages organisations to focus on reducing waste, rather than simply recycling it.

At Chemical Solutions, we use recycled and recyclable packaging to support waste reduction, preserve valuable resources, and help minimise our environmental footprint. We also go a step further by using two compactors to efficiently process our cardboard and plastic recycling.

Let's all do our part by looking for opportunities to reduce waste, recycle responsibly, and support a more sustainable future.

Behind the Label: Understanding Your Cleaning Products

1. Directions for use: Follow the recommended dilution, application method and contact time. Using more product than required may increase costs without improving results.

2. Safety precautions: Read the warnings and follow instructions for handling, ventilation and avoiding contact. Never mix products unless the label specifically permits it.

3. Protective equipment: Use gloves, eye protection or other protective equipment specified on the label. Check that it is suitable and in good condition.

4. Storage requirements: Keep products in their original, labelled containers with lids securely closed. Store them in a suitable area away from food, heat and incompatible substances.

5. Safety Data Sheets: Keep the current Safety Data Sheet accessible for detailed information about hazards, handling, first aid, spills and storage.
