🔥 Chances are you've spotted this symbol on a cleaning product before. It's a hazard pictogram, and understanding what it means is key to staying safe.

Flammable substances include flammable gases, aerosols, liquids, and solids. They can ignite easily when exposed to heat, sparks, flames, or other ignition sources.

📌 Safety reminders:
✔ Read the product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
✔ Identify and understand the flammable substances you are working with.
✔ Keep flammables away from ignition sources such as welding, smoking, open flames, hot surfaces, and electrical sparks.
✔ Ensure good ventilation when using flammable products.
✔ Can cause skin and eye irritation depending on the amounts you are working with so use personal protective equipment (PPE) suitable to the work you are going to do, with a minimum of gloves and safety goggles.
✔ Keep containers closed when not in use.

Flammable substances only need fuel, oxygen, and an ignition source to start a fire. Remove or control any part of this fire triangle to stay safe.

Chemical Solutions is proud to support the South Island Wildlife Hospital in the work they do with injured wildlife. The Hospital provides specialist care and rehabilitation for New Zealand’s native species, responding to cases from across the Canterbury regions and beyond.

Chemical Solutions has donated Kemsol Enzy-Boost to support a key part of this care: the constant washing of bedding, towels, and enclosure materials. This often requires multiple loads each day to ensure patients are kept in clean and sanitary conditions.
