A recent project we have had the pleasure of working along with the Robinson Construction team in a magic location of the world-Endeavour inlet. In this build we got to showcase our rolling roof system and span large voids with the super strong 💪 Twix beam supporting the roof structure above. Having this project fully encapsulated meant all trades could progress working rain, hail, wind or shine giving maximum output with no delays✅ on schedule✅ clean site✅ and nice warm tradies✅✅ A lot of planning has gone into this job and massive shoutout to the team Layher New Zealand and our engineer Razvan Rocas for crunching the numbers again but most of all our SML team delivering the end product👏

Last week the SML team practiced some rescues in the unlikely event of a fall from height. It’s best to practice these scenarios live in the field in your workplace surroundings and to familiarise yourself with the kit you are working with. Everyone rescued and on the ground now top effort lads 👍

Progress update! 🏗️📚 Big things are happening behind the scenes as we start our refurbishment programme at our Kura.

We are starting with a complete makeover of our new library space! This upgraded area will serve as a modern hub for learning, collaboration, and connection for everyone.

The lads have been putting in the work over the last couple of weeks on a very special project in the Marlborough Sounds. A lot of patience and planning has gone into this one. Here’s a small glimpse into this exciting project with Robinson Construction.

This is a rolling temporary roof from Layher NZ, that allows us to safely construct an encapsulated structure without climbing in the roof trusses and eliminating the need for cranes.

Due to the location of this build and the limitations of the site, design was done with collaboration with Layher NZ and our in house team.

Te Kahu o Waipuna will be home to fewer pigeons thanks to the extension of an advanced bird deterrent system, Flock Off, and the addition of nets on some of its sun screens.

The building, which houses the Marlborough Library and Marlborough Art Gallery, is one of several in Blenheim, including Council’s offices in Seymour Street, which have bird deterrent technology.

The Flock Off system uses electromagnetic pulses to stop birds nesting on buildings. It is harmless to the birds, humans and other animals.

Scaffolding is temporarily in place around Te Kahu o Waipuna to aid in the cleaning of the building and installation of the technology. It is expected to be completed this week.

It's the first ever International Scaffolding and Access Day! 🔧
To celebrate this amazing industry and the incredible mahi that goes on, we wanted to shine a light on our last year's 2025 SARNZ Award winners.

These projects were impressive, and not just visually or in scale. We had a panel of expert judges who marked each project against set criteria. These works displayed incredible professionalism, adherence to health and safety and just damn good, quality scaffold, access and rigging builds.

They showcased the skill and expertise of the people behind the builds and the companies that who had great pride in their work and their people.

Cheers to every scaffolder who aims a little higher each time. Who builds with quality and safety in mind, and who takes pride in their mahi.

Couple of weeks ago the team at Scaffold Marlborough reached our silver tier goal🥈 of no Loss Time Injuries. After achieving bronze 6 months ago and now completing just over a year with no LTIs, it was time to celebrate with a bit of competitive bowling. Full credit to our team as these targets take 💯 percent buy-in from everyone. 👏👏👏👏Next stop gold 🏅
