It's been a busy few months...neglected the ole Facebook!

Here is a little project we have made a start on

6 x 3 bed apartments and 2 x 2 bed apartments

Unfortunately we've hit a bit of a snag with poor bearing ground which is causing us a few headaches. We've got a plan to go forward, and that is underway, but really looking to be able to get our floor(s) down after Easter some time!

Happy manniversary to this guy. Jordan is my right hand man….took a punt and took him on straight out of school. He’s hard working, honest, and a great guy to have on site. Been a great 14 years Jordan. Keep up the good work!

Well 2025, that’s a wrap. Possibly one of the hardest years we’ve done to date - but in the same breath it has probably been one of the more rewarding ones.
We’ve farewell’d one staff member, and picked up 3 more over the course of the year. Zac and Liam joined us later this year from Revive Building. Quality guys, merging fairly seamlessly into our existing team.
Ella joined us in the middle of the year to fill a painting void which seems to have turned into a full time gig!
Great to have all this new blood in the team!

We’ve signed up a contract in Dec for late Feb 2026 start…8 apartments. Good glut of work there going forward.

2025 was a bit more challenging money-wise with some slower paying times along with the challenges of building our house creating a black hole in both time and our wallets.

We’ve continued to grow the team in both size and skill again this year….any service business is only as good as its frontline staff.
Huge thanks to the construct-it staff that slave their guts out week in and week out. Stand proud. Another great year done.

The other big shout-out is to our clients. Our clients trust us with thousands, tens, and hundreds of thousands on each job we do. Sometimes it’s a big ask as we’ve only just met! Either way, thankyou for putting your trust in us to deliver and keep on delivering for you…it means so much to us.

Rest well, eat well, celebrate well.

Possibly the most interesting room in the house….its consumed a fair bit of time today!
4 bedrooms, laundry, wiw are all ready for coving after a quick sand.
Nook (pictured) has a coat and a half to go.
Approx 2/3 of first coat done on kitchen/dining/lounge

60kgs of Tradeset
Somewhere between 50 and 60kg of premixed top coat over fri/sat/sun.

Tomorrow is another week…beautiful fine weather for next few days….get some of our open jobs done so we are looking tidy on the slide to Christmas!

Thought i should do a wee update...windows are in...beautiful, we're waiting for the wind to subside so we can finish a few flashings and get some cavity started. Prewire is all but done, kitchen design is underway, plumbing pre-pipe is done and we've had a consult for aircon.

Kids have started wall batts.

Boys have been in for a bit today doing the last of the framing fill-ins in preparation for preline inspection start of next month.

We've had such good weather the boys have been hitting all the outside jobs so progress is slow on site...the rain will come tho and we've got a bit of inside work to fill in the time!!

The elm especially has great character in its grain. Outstanding

What a magic winter we have had...beautiful week this week, still with ~20 deg temps....enjoyed it....had to come to an end....spring weather next week!!
Luckily for us, we've caught this break in the weather at the perfect time. We're working on a pole shed up in the middle of the tararua wind farm and I was worried we would struggle to get the roof on! 3 perfect days in a row to get our framing finished and roof AND walls done. Great job team
