In our latest Manawatū Quarterly Economic Snapshot, we heard from Angus Terry from Alexander Construction Central on the early signs he is seeing on the momentum returning to the industry.

While project starts remain cautious, increased inquiries and stable labour costs are positive signs. With government investment and funding access forecast to lift, the second half of 2025 could mark a turning point for our region’s construction pipeline.
