Breaking news from an Auckland renovation site: we also eat. 😄

Our project manager, James, managed to squeeze in a quick lunch between checking what was happening on site. Not exactly the big renovation reveal, but an important update nonetheless.

The finished spaces usually get most of the attention. Behind them are all the site visits, progress checks and everyday moments that keep the job moving.

Action, action, action!

There’s plenty moving at this Auckland home renovation. New windows are being installed, flooring is going down and the bathrooms and built-in storage are coming together.

It’s the sort of progress that doesn’t always make the final photo album, but it’s where a lot of the careful work happens. Keeping each trade and room moving in the right order is a big part of managing a renovation properly.

A room that doesn’t have a bad side so of course we took a photo! 📸

The green wall is hard to miss, but we also love how the whole kitchen and dining area comes together. It’s bright and warm, with enough colour to feel interesting without trying too hard.

If you’re collecting ideas for an Auckland home renovation, this is a good reminder that you don’t need colour everywhere. One well-chosen spot can be plenty.

Farewell, blue tiles. You certainly made a statement. 👋

This Auckland bathroom renovation is what happens when a room that’s been stuck in its era finally gets its turn. Before the clean finishes and glass shower came demolition, exposed framing and the kind of mess that makes you wonder whether there was ever a bathroom there at all.

The finished space keeps things simple with neutral tones, a streamlined vanity and no feature tile shouting from every wall.

Perfect location. House that hasn’t quite caught up yet?

That was the opportunity with this Mount Eden apartment. The homeowners already loved where they lived, so when a larger place became available in the same building, changing neighbourhoods wasn’t the answer. Making the apartment work for them was.

They spoke with The Renovation Team before settlement, giving us time to start planning how the dated interior could better suit the way they wanted to live.
