Second day at the Rotorua Home & Garden Show and we’re absolutely loving it!

So good to be back today, meeting more great people and having some really solid conversations around civil works and development. From subdivisions and 3 waters infrastructure to rural projects, retaining walls and fencing. There’s been no shortage of thoughtful questions (which we love!).

What we’re really enjoying is seeing how many people are planning ahead - whether it’s a new build, a development project, or future-proofing their property. Getting the right advice early makes all the difference.

As we wrap up another big year at Hickey Contractors, we want to say a huge thanks to our hardworking team - your dedication and effort have truly made the difference.

Sincere thanks also to our clients and community partners for your continued support throughout the year.

We hope everyone enjoys a safe and well-earned festive break, savours quality time with family and friends, and comes back refreshed for what will be a year to remember.

Another drain tidy-up using the plastic sheetpiles. The guys are getting good at this now and it certainly is easier and theoretically longer-lasting than the old post and rail method.
The ground being alot softer here actually made it harder to get them in the ground evenly as they picked up on each in the grooves.

Our road/ asphalt crew still doing the hard yards.
Laying hotmix in front of a garage .
The finishing touches to a driveway laid a couple of weeks ago is too concrete the road entry and footpath - all part of the job.
The weather is not helping with alot of these jobs, but we manage !
