SIE Team Alignment Day Part.2

Team building activities 🧩 The Marshmallow Challenge had us building the tallest free-standing spaghetti tower in 18 minutes, a crash course in prototyping fast and working as a team under pressure. Then Pathfinder flipped it around. One partner blindfolded, one guiding by voice only, navigating an obstacle course purely on trust and clear communication.

Two very different challenges, but the same lesson: how we build and how we communicate makes all the difference.

Last week the SIE team stepped away from the tools for a Team Alignment Day 🎯

The day started with a business goals session, where we talked through where the company’s headed and what that means for each of us. From there, everyone mapped out their own personal and professional goals and tied them back into the bigger picture. We also took time to revisit our core values and worked through our “rules of the game”, the everyday habits that keep the team running well together.

Throw in some team-building activities, a solid lunch, and a well-earned round at the local pub, and it made for a day full of good conversations, a clearer sense of direction, and plenty of laughs along the way.

SIE Team Alignment day part.1

Last week our team took a day away from the day-to-day, for a Team Alignment Day 🌱

We kicked off with a business goals session, sharing where we’re headed as a company, with everyone then working through their own personal and professional goals which we connected back to our bigger business goals. We also revisited our core values together and ran a workshop on our “rules of the game”, the everyday behaviours that keep us working well as a team.

Add in some team-building fun, a delicious lunch, and a well-earned trip to the local pub to wrap up the day, and it added up to a day of connection, clarity, and a lot of laughs.

Here’s to a team that’s aligned and ready for what’s next!

As part of SIE’s monthly wellbeing initiatives for the month of July, there was a focus on the “Dry July” campaign which aims to raise awareness in support of those affected by cancer. At an after-work team meeting/BBQ, one fun activity the team participated in, was guessing whether a beverage was alcoholic or not, with many not realising the difference when testing a zero-percent beverage 😆🙌
