Country cookers

A follow on from "Mara's revenge" this job included two cookers, both identical, one was the original "Mara" cooker, the other was one I had here, Mara's cooker had poor enamel work, the one I had here was better but between the two cookers I mixed and matched to get the best enamel for one of them, as seen in my previous post, the other one I blasted all the enamel off and painted it black, here are the photos

Next mission! Mara's revenge! (Inside joke, RIP Mara) just added some more pics, had to repair years of wear on the latches, lugs on the front casting had to be completely rebuilt and reshaped as there was nothing left and someone had drilled and screwed "tek" type screws into them, hardened screws that can not be undone or drilled out! So had to just build it up with weld and shape new ones! There are two cookers in this lot, both identical, one will retain the yellow enamel finish, the other will be blasted back to raw and painted black! Lots of repairs on these ones, have ordered some steel plates to fabricate fireboxes for both!
