After two years of studies at ’Valla Game Education’, it was time for the graduating students to present their major game projects.

We got to see everything from original games like Botinator to internship projects carried out at companies such as Fancade, Aftnareld, and Lutra Interactive.

It was an inspiring day filled with creativity and optimism for the future. Thanks Valla Folkhögskola and good luck to all graduates!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming HYPERGRYPH - one of China’s leading game developers and publishers, best known for the global hit Arknights - to East Sweden Game for discussions about future collaborations.

During their visit, they met with local game studios, investors and community members. The day also included a studio visit to Fancade and ended with a great dinner and many inspiring conversations. 🙌

A huge thank you to Tuxedo Labs, the studio behind Teardown, for a fantastic afterwork during Nordic Game!

Over pizza, drinks and great conversations, we got a behind-the-scenes look at one of Sweden’s most innovative game studios. The team shared insights into their journey and the future of game tech (hint: voxels, raytracing, multiplayer).

The evening also brought together developers from different countries, including a visiting delegation from Moldova and Ukraine - a great reminder of how game development connects people across borders.

Indie Game Expo 2026, our annual side event during Nordic Game, was a fantastic success!

We brought together developers, publishers, investors and industry professionals from around the world to discover games from our community.

The floor was buzzing with playtesting, conversations and intense mingle, while meetings ran back-to-back in the next room. Just wow!

Nordic Game 2026 - and all the side events surrounding it - was a major success for East Sweden Game and our community.

We’re proud to see how many of the games from our region are already known and respected internationally. Titles such as Core Keeper, Romestead, Botinator, He Is Coming and Kyora sparked conversations throughout the week - alongside many other exciting projects from our community. What stood out most was the growing interest in the region itself. Why are so many talented developers, successful studios, and great games emerging from East Sweden?

We believe the answer lies in a strong community, a culture of collaboration, and people who genuinely want to help each other succeed.

Today is a special and important day! ❤️

Beartwigs - one of the studios that has been with us since the early days - has officially launched Romestead on Steam.

Seeing studios grow from small prototypes into full commercial releases never gets old. It’s a reminder of how far both the teams and our regional game community have come over the years.

Huge congratulations to the entire Beartwigs team on this amazing milestone 🎉
