Tired of looking at peeling paint on your walls? ๐ช๐งฑ
Itโs time to fix it for good! Peeling usually happens due to moisture, poor surface prep, or using the wrong primer.
Here is your step-by-step guide to tackling peeling walls like a pro:
๐ ๏ธ The Step-by-Step Fix
1. Scrape Away the Old: use a putty knife or paint scraper to remove all loose, flaking, and peeling paint from the area. If you don't get rid of the loose edges now, the new paint will just peel off later.
2. Patch and Smooth: apply a high-quality joint compound or wall filler over the scraped area to level it out with the rest of the wall. Once completely dry, sand it down until the surface feels perfectly smooth.
3. Clean the Surface: wipe away all the sanding dust and debris with a damp cloth. Paint won't adhere properly to a dusty wall!
4. Lock it in with the Right Primer: this is the most crucial step. Use a strong bonding primer (or a specialty primer if you are dealing with dampness or chalky surfaces) to seal the area and create the perfect grip for your topcoat.
5. Paint: apply two coats of Penta Weathershield, letting it dry completely between coats.
