Voted on by subcontractors across the state, the award recognizes ethical practices, responsiveness, and being a great project partner. We're excited to share that Bohannan Huston has been ranked No. 3 among New Mexico’s midsize Top Workplaces by the Albuquerque Journal.

This marks the sixth time BHI has earned a place on the list. Because the recognition is based entirely on feedback from our employees through an independent Energage survey, it means even more.

In the feature article, BHI CEO and President Bruce Stidworthy shared, “We consistently care and think about what makes a great workplace, and then we create structure and culture and benefits to live up to that.” That commitment was also reflected in four 2026 Culture Badges and eight Culture Excellence awards recognizing trust, communication, leadership, innovation, professional development, employee well-being, and more.

67 years, four offices, and plenty of milestones along the way. Bohannan Huston was founded on July 20, 1959, in Albuquerque. Since then, we’ve grown across New Mexico and Colorado, expanded our teams in Denver and Grand Junction, and recently celebrated a new chapter with the opening of our new Las Cruces office.

While our footprint continues to grow, our focus remains the same: great people, strong partnerships, and work that supports the communities we call home.

New space, same Las Cruces roots. It’s been a busy week for our Las Cruces team! Last Friday, they officially moved into our new office at 2730 Northrise Drive and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside staff, family, friends, project partners, and local community leaders. This milestone reflects BHI’s continued investment in Las Cruces and southern New Mexico, and our long-standing commitment to supporting the communities we serve.

A special thank you to HB Construction, along with Architect’s Studio, our project partners, and everyone who helped bring this new office to life. We’re also grateful to the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Eric Enriquez, Mayor Pro Tem John Muñoz, and all who joined us to celebrate. We’re excited for this next chapter in Las Cruces!

We’re excited for this next chapter and look forward to continuing to support our clients, partners, and communities from our new location. Field visits give early-career team members a real look at project delivery in action. Members of the BHI Construction team recently hosted a group of summer interns for a site visit to the Los Lunas Boulevard Corridor project, providing a firsthand look at an active construction site and the coordination behind a major infrastructure project. During the visit, attendees learned about construction site safety, field observations, project roles, and construction delivery, and met with project team members from BHI, the Village of Los Lunas, and El Terrero Construction. The visit was a great opportunity to connect learning with real-world project experience on a major infrastructure project.

Bohannan Huston helped design this interchange and corridor project and is now providing construction management services for the Village of Los Lunas. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this field trip and to the project team for an informative tour!
