🌴 Fun fact: October is statistically one of the most pleasant months in Central Florida — temperatures drop into the 70s and 80s, humidity fades, and rain becomes rare.

It's also the best time of year to actually enjoy a screened patio without Florida summer doing its worst. If you've been meaning to use that outdoor space more, now's your season. 😊

Not sure whether a screened patio or a sunroom is the right fit for your home? This post lays out the honest differences.

A screened patio is more affordable, keeps you connected to the outdoors, and is perfect for Florida's mild weather months, but it's not climate-controlled and won't be comfortable in every season. A sunroom gives you a true four-season room that feels like part of the house, but it costs roughly twice as much and the windows do create some heat gain in summer.

Both are great options — the right one just depends on how you plan to use the space. 🏡

It reduces solar heat gain, cuts glare, protects furniture from UV fading, and still lets you see outside clearly. All while keeping insects out. It's a great choice if your patio or pool enclosure gets a lot of direct afternoon sun.

We use Phifer products on most of our builds because the quality is genuinely hard to beat. 🌿

Fred, this one’s for you! 🙌

“Pleasant to work with and very conscientious about his work.” That’s exactly the kind of installer we’re proud to have on our team. Thank you, Cay — so glad you love your new enclosure!

Most people don't realize sunroom windows come in three different materials and each one has real trade-offs worth knowing about.

Acrylic is budget-friendly and lightweight but tends to yellow and bow over time. Glass is the most durable long-term option and insulates well, but it's heavier and costs more. Clear vinyl panels like the PGT EZE-Breeze four-track system are a flexible, lightweight option that can give you up to 75% ventilation when you want the breeze in.

Worth a read before your consultation. ☀️

🚗 Did you know Dulando installs garage door screens?

A 4-track sliding garage door screen instantly turns your garage into a usable screen room — keep the door open, let the breeze in, and keep the bugs out. Great for workshops, home gyms, or just extra living space on a beautiful Florida fall evening.

One of our most underrated products and one of the easiest upgrades you can add to your home. 🏡

Tom’s review says it all; fair price, accurate timeline, zero issues, and exactly what he wanted. 😊

A special shoutout to Danny for coming out in person, providing helpful input on dimensions and design, and making the whole process feel easy from the very start. That kind of hands-on attention is what we’re all about.

Thank you, Tom. We're so glad you love your new screened patio!

Choosing a sunroom contractor comes down to three things: trust, professionalism, and quality.

Trust means looking at their track record — how long they've been in business, what their reviews say, and whether the BBB backs them up. Professionalism means they're licensed, insured, familiar with local codes, and have their own installation team. Quality means asking to see past work, checking references, and understanding the materials and warranties involved.

All three matter. This post walks through each one. 🌿

🍂 Fall in Central Florida is a short window — and it's a good one.

The bugs aren't as bad. The evenings are actually enjoyable. And a screened patio or outdoor living space finally gets to shine without the summer heat making everything miserable.

If a patio project has been on your list, this is the time to get your free estimate in before the holiday rush fills everyone's schedules. 🏡

💡 Did you know a pool enclosure can actually reduce your pool maintenance time significantly?

With a screen overhead and around the pool, you're keeping out leaves, debris, insects, and airborne pollen. Less skimming. Less vacuuming. Less chemical balancing. More time actually swimming. 🏊

It's one of those upgrades that pays for itself in time saved — not just enjoyment gained.
