πŸ›‘ Do you know the difference between a regulatory sign and a warning sign? Regulatory signs carry the force of law. They tell drivers and pedestrians what they must or must not do. Ignoring them can mean a ticket, an accident, or worse.

You see them every day:

πŸ”΄ Red & white: Stop, Yield, Do Not Enter, Wrong Way

⬛️ White & black : Speed limits, turn restrictions, no parking

Unlike warning signs (which advise caution) or guide signs (which provide information), regulatory signs set the legal standard for how a road is used. That means getting them right with the correct size, color, reflectivity, and placement isn't optional. It's required by MUTCD and state DOT standards.

At A&A Safety, our team handles everything from production to professional installation.

🌟 From administrative assistant to project manager, Samantha's journey at A&A Safety is a testament to what hard work and determination can build. 🌟

Samantha joined A&A Safety in 2014, starting as an administrative assistant before moving into an assistant project manager role supporting Branch Manager Ray Brink. Her dedication and skill didn't go unnoticed, and she was promoted to Project Manager, a role she has now excelled in for 8 years. Today, she oversees maintenance of traffic projects across Northeast Ohio.

One of her most memorable projects? The RTA Tunnel Membrane Replacement at Cleveland Hopkins Airport. A&A Safety performed traffic control at baggage claim so the pedestrian tunnel to the airport could be reconstructed.

When asked what she loves most about her job, Samantha's answer says it all: "It's busy and a challenge. There's always a new situation that pops up, and you have to problem solve."

Her advice to those just starting out in the industry? "Don't be afraid to put the effort in. Keep your head down and work hard; your goals are attainable."

Outside of work, Samantha is an active member of ATSSA RTA(American Traffic Safety Services Association) and plans to join the board next year. She's passionate about the organization's mission to improve safety for both workers and the traveling public - a mission that aligns perfectly with everything A&A Safety stands for.

When she's not on the job, you might find Samantha tending to her garden or hitting the trails. One of her favorite hiking spots is Ashtabula County, Ohio. πŸ₯ΎπŸŒΏ

We're proud to have Samantha on the A&A Safety team. Thank you for everything you do! πŸ‘

🚧 New in stock: Type III barricades with 3Mβ„’ High Intensity Prismatic reflective sheeting, which delivers exceptional reflectivity. In person, the panels look like they're lit from within. The photos don't do it justice.

Type 3 barricades are used for road closures and work zones, where maximum visibility is critical - day and night. MASH-tested and NCHRP 350 approved. Available in 4', 6', 8', 10', and 12' lengths.

🧑 Go Orange Day 2026 🧑A&A Safety joined others across the country in wearing orange to support National Work Zone Awareness Week and help spread an important message: Safe Actions Save Lives.

As construction season ramps up, it's an important reminder to slow down and stay alert in work zones - for the safety of workers and drivers alike.

A&A Safety and A&A Graphics are teaming up on a major project with Cincinnati Metro. 🚌We're fabricating and installing 3,700 new bus stop signs countywide over the next 24 months! 🚏

A&A Graphics is handling the fabrication of the updated signs, which feature larger route numbers, improved color contrast, reflective materials for day and night visibility, and QR codes linking riders to real-time schedules and trip planning tools. A&A Safety is managing installation across Hamilton county.

This project is part of Metro's Reinventing Metro plan and was developed in collaboration with University of Cincinnati's DAAP program. We were honored to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony alongside Metro leadership and project stakeholders.

Pictured with the new signage at Clifton Ave & Clifton Ct is part of our team along with Steve T. Anderson (second from left), Metro's project manager.
