Our Dave Steel Company team in Asheville recently celebrated the end of summer with lunch and ice cream! 🍦

It was a great afternoon spent together enjoying food from Smasheville Food Truck and treats from Frozen Josie's Ice Cream Truck .

Most importantly, it gave us a chance to recognize the people behind Dave Steel and thank our team for the hard work and dedication they bring every day.

Thanks to everyone who joined us, and to Smasheville and Frozen Josie’s for helping us end the summer on a great note!

Taking it back to Toyota APMM in Blue Springs, Mississippi, a 500,000 sq. ft. body stamping plant supporting Toyota USA’s automotive manufacturing operations. 🏗️

Dave Steel Company, a Walters Group Company, supplied and installed 5,000 tons of structural steel for the facility, along with stairs and handrails.

The completed plant plays an important role in the production of body parts for the Toyota Corolla.

Save the date!

After an incredible turnout last year, Dave Steel Company’s High School Welding Competition is returning for its second year. In 2026, the competition is growing to include two locations:

📍 Asheville, North Carolina | November 7
📍 Chesnee, South Carolina | November 14

The competition gives high school students an opportunity to put their welding skills to the test, tour our shops and learn more about careers in structural steel.

We look forward to welcoming students, teachers and schools this November.
