MaschioPack North America, LLC, a subsidieary of Colonial Group Inc., continues to expand their global foot print on Industrial Packaging by manufacturing 275-gallon and 330-gallon Intermediate Bulk Containers’ (IBC’s) in North America. The first plant is located in Atlanta, GA. There are two state of the art blow molders as well as two metal fabricating cage lines. Our composite IBC’s are constru
cted with a heavy rigid galvanized tubular steel outer frame. The inter rigid bottle is 100% HDPE and fitted with the very best quality caps and valves. The difference in our manufacturing process comes from the automation and design of our equipment. The consistency of the automation assures the manufacturing process is performed to the highest standards. We believe we manufacture one of the very best IBC’s in the packaging industry. We look forward to earning your business. In 2012, the Colonial Group saw that availability of IBC’s (totes) were scarce in the market. IBC’s were and continue to be the fastest growing package segment in the chemical industry. The growing trend to fill IBC’s in lieu of drums was increasing the demand for IBC’s. There were very few players and the large IBC manufacturers made it difficult for small to mid-size chemical companies to get IBC’s and the service they deserved. Colonial then decided to get in this market and begin a quest to manufacture their own and service the needs of small to medium size chemical companies. We then met Pietro Maschio and learned that he first began producing packaging in 1972. He had once before entered the US IBC market with a company called Mamor, which was acquired by Ma**er in 2004. Maschio had a proven design and he also manufactured equipment & systems for blow molding and plastic applications. A decision for the two companies to collaborate and introduce the MaschioPack PM11 into the US market was made. In 2014 MaschioPack NA, LLC began operations in our first plant in Atlanta, GA with plans to build 2-3 more as needed.
