Who is more powerful between a politician and a businessman?
A career politician or a successful businessman. One man is bought. The other man does the buying.
Given that politicians have benefited from organizations (over 20,000 unions, trade groups, and corporations), I would say business people have the greater power, because without them the politicians could not get much support. They feed money into the system to affect influence on the politician. The politician is then given the power to act, because they have that support. No support and you’re dead in the water. At the end of the day the ones who wield the mighty sword of money are the most powerful.
