🦺 Jobsite Spotlight | Safety Starts with Every Step 🦺

At Jennings H. Mitchell & Son Inc., we believe that quality craftsmanship begins with a strong commitment to safety.

Our team is proud to be working on the JHU – Wyman Building 1 – KSAS Renovations (3rd, 5th, 6th & 7th Floors) in partnership with Whiting-Turner as the General Contractor.

This week, we're recognizing our crews for demonstrating excellent safety habits, including:
✅ Proper dust control while sanding to help protect workers and building occupants.
✅ Safe ladder practices, including fully extending the spreader bars and maintaining 3 points of contact.
✅ Proper ladder inspection, storage, and housekeeping by ensuring equipment is in good condition, clearly labeled, and stored without obstructing walkways. These observations align with OSHA safety expectations highlighted in the attached safety documentation.

Every safe decision helps protect our employees, our trade partners, and everyone on the jobsite. Safety isn't just a requirement—it's part of our culture.

A big THANK YOU to our incredible leadership team for treating the ladies of Jennings H. Mitchell & Son, Inc. to a memorable work bonding weekend on Maryland's beautiful Eastern Shore!

We truly enjoyed the beautiful weather and stunning views, spending peaceful mornings sitting by the pool, relaxing with our coffee. It was such a treat to be spoiled for the weekend, and one of our favorite highlights was the amazing food that was prepared for us. It was a wonderful trip filled with relaxation, great drinks, delicious food, and even better company and conversation.

Taking time to step away from the office to connect, laugh, recharge, and strengthen our relationships reminds us that great companies are built on more than just hard work—they're built on great people. We truly appreciate our bosses' investment in our team and their commitment to creating a workplace where employees feel valued.

We're grateful for the opportunity to make lasting memories together and return refreshed, inspired, and ready to continue serving our customers with the teamwork and dedication that define Jennings H. Mitchell & Son.

What an incredible day out on the water with the JHM team! 🎣

It was great getting everyone together outside of work to relax, laugh, bond, and enjoy an amazing fishing experience.

Days like this remind us how important teamwork and connection are — not just on the job, but beyond it as well.

Everyone had a fantastic time, made great memories, and we’re already looking forward to making this an even bigger tradition next year!
