6) Asbestos Training Courses -- Initial and refresher asbestos training courses that meet EPA, AHERA, and OSHA asbestos training requirements. WE’LL HELP YOU COMPLY WITH ASBESTOS REGULATIONS WHILE HELPING YOU MINIMIZE FACILITY DOWNTIME. COMPLICATED ASBESTOS PROJECTS OFTEN HAVE SIMPLE SOLUTIONS WHEN LOOKED AT FROM ALL SIDES. WE FREQUENTLY HELP SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, AND INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES COMPLETE COMPLICATED ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROJECTS THAT OTHER CONSULTANTS WOULD HAVE THEM SHUT DOWN TO ATTEMPT. 4) Mold Air Sampling -- Mold air sampling for schools, building owners, and contractors to help determine airborne mold levels, and to determine if remediation efforts meet post remediation verification criteria.
5) Mold Swab Sampling -- Sometimes you need lab results to tell you what you already know. It looks like mold, smells like mold, and the material has been wet. But you need sample results to confirm it’s mold.
6) Mold Remediation Training Courses -- Training for schools, hospitals, building owners, architects, engineers, and contractors who want to learn how to solve mold and moisture problems. INDOOR AIR QUALITY & ENVIRONMENT: We can help building owners find and eliminate strange smells, harmful chemicals, or other workplace irritants and hazards that produce workplace complaints.
1) Indoor Air Quality Inspections -- Thorough building and facility inspections to identify problem areas and solutions to indoor air quality problems.

BUILDING SCIENCE: We can help you avoid construction defects before they occur by reviewing the design prior to construction. And we can help by observing construction work in the field, and testing materials and assemblies.
1) Design Period Peer Review -- We'll work with your design team to prevent problems before they happen.
2) Moisture Critical Design Details -- We can work with your design team to develop critical design details to provide to contractors.
3) Litigation Support Services -- We have provided litigation support in construction defect and building science litigation.
4) Building Enclosure Assembly Material Testing -- We can test building enclosure assembly mock-ups prior to acceptance, help develop corrective action options, or test existing construction assemblies to help determine acceptable performance.

6) Training to Avoid Construction Defects -- Training for building owners, architects, engineers, and contractors who want to learn how to keep construction defects from happening and to know what to do to correct construction defects that occur. WE CAN HELP YOU DETERMINE AIR FLOW PATHS (AND HELP PROJECT HOW ENERGY AND MOISTURE FLOW) IN AND OUT OF YOUR BUILDING. Mold doesn't wait for you to see it.

After a roof leak, a plumbing issue, HVAC condensation, or a flooding event, moisture can sit inside building materials well before anything is visible. What happens in the first few hours and days matters more than most facilities teams realize.

We’re proud to support the students and schools in the communities we serve!

Chris White recently stopped by the Iberville Parish School Board to present a donation toward school supplies for students heading back to school. We appreciate the opportunity to give back and support the district as they get ready for another school year.

A new school year brings new opportunities, and having the right supplies can help students feel prepared and ready to learn. We’re happy to do our part to help local students start the year off on the right foot.

Here’s to a great school year for all of the students, teachers, and staff in Iberville Parish!

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Wynn White of Wynn L. White Consulting Engineers, Inc. for his generous donation to Iberville Parish School District. Your support, commitment and partnership is appreciated.

Mold problems start with moisture, not mold.

In hot, humid climates, schools run into it the same handful of ways: high indoor humidity, HVAC condensation, roof and plumbing leaks, moisture trapped behind walls and flooring, slow drying after water intrusion.

Most of it is addressable before it becomes a remediation project — if someone catches it early enough.

Chris White is covering this in more depth on September 24: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_eNvbabnVSOCuWi-wM-RuTA #/registration

Ten years ago this month, the 2016 Louisiana flood displaced roughly 6,000 students across Ascension Schools and damaged campuses throughout the district.

What followed was more than a year of asbestos and mold remediation, air quality testing, and constant communication with a community that needed answers.

We were honored to be Ascension Parish Public Schools' environmental partner throughout that recovery — and the relationship has continued well beyond it. Former Superintendent David Alexander put it simply: "They build trust, and they get results."

A decade later, we're sharing the full story of that recovery — and what it taught us about supporting school districts through crisis.

Schools in hot, humid climates deal with mold more than most maintenance budgets account for.

Chris White will be one of three panelists on a Center for Green Schools webinar looking at how it actually happens in K–12 buildings — the specific conditions, not generic advice. Gina Bare (NEHA) is covering the health side, Jennifer Fowler (Orange County Public Schools) is covering what a real prevention plan looks like.

Thursday, September 24, 1–2 PM ET/12-1 CT. Free: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_eNvbabnVSOCuWi-wM-RuTA #/registration

If IAQ and mold aren't on your list of problems, this one isn't for you. If they are, it might be worth an hour.
