🔥 $8,000 REPLACEMENT… OR ONE HOUR OF TROUBLESHOOTING?! 🔧🥶

With another South Dakota winter right around the corner, having a working furnace isn’t exactly optional!

We headed back over to Michaela and James house, but this time we weren’t there for a remodel. We were on a mission to see if we could bring their VERY old furnace back to life! 🏠

Their furnace had stopped working a while back, and another company had quoted them $8,000 to replace and install a new one. 😳💸

So we rolled up our sleeves, started digging in, and did what we do best… PROBLEM SOLVING! 🔍🔧

After about an hour of testing, troubleshooting, and a whole lot of figuring things out…

🔥 WE HAVE HEAT!!! 🔥

That old furnace fired back up, and we couldn’t have been happier!

Now, we’re not pretending this old beast is brand new, but we’re sure hoping she’s got another South Dakota winter left in her! 🤞❄️

Sometimes the answer isn’t immediately replacing something. Sometimes it’s taking the time to figure out what’s actually wrong.

🏡 SO CLOSE WE CAN ALMOST TASTE IT! 🪵🔨

Another productive day at Lynn’s log cabin!

We were determined to get this project wrapped up, but unfortunately… the sun had other plans! 🌅😂

We got all the trim installed, both inside and outside, and this cabin is really starting to come together!

Just a couple more things on the list:
🪵 Finish up the remaining staining
🔨 Get those deck railings back up
🏡 Stand back and admire the transformation!

After all the stripping, scraping, pressure washing, sanding, and staining, it’s pretty exciting to see how far this cabin has come!

We may have lost the daylight, but we’re definitely winning the battle! 💪

🥶🔧 Getting Ready for Winter at DnA Home Revival! 🏠

Not every job is glamorous, but some of the most important ones are the ones you don’t see! 💪

Today, we ran heat tape on the pipes to help protect them from freezing during those cold South Dakota winter months. ❄️ It’s not the most fun job to crawl under a home and get everything set up, but a little prevention now can save a lot of headaches (and expensive repairs) later!

At DnA Home Revival, we take pride in helping our customers prepare their homes for whatever South Dakota weather throws their way! 🛠️

⚡ A Little Electrical Work, A Big Difference! 🔌🏠

Sometimes it’s the little projects that solve the BIGGEST headaches!

Our latest project involved removing an old exterior electrical outlet and installing a blank cover, along with replacing an improperly installed outdoor light and getting it mounted correctly. 🔧💡

But here’s the best part of the story…

Every time it rained, our customer’s breaker would trip, leaving her without power to her HEATED BLANKET! 🥶😂

And let’s be serious… nobody wants to mess with a woman’s heated blanket, especially with South Dakota winter right around the corner! ❄️🤣

A little electrical TLC, some safer installations, and hopefully no more rainy-night trips to reset the breaker!

At DNA Home Revival LLC, we know that sometimes the smallest repairs make the biggest difference in someone’s everyday comfort. ❤️🏡

🏡🪵 Lynn’s LOG CABIN IS GETTING ITS GLOW BACK! 🌲✨

Well, would you look at that transformation! 😍

The stain has had time to soak in and settle, and Lin’s log cabin is looking a whole lot happier these days!

After all the washing, prep work, and staining, it’s pretty satisfying to step back and see that beautiful wood grain come back to life. What a difference a little TLC (and a whole lot of elbow grease) can make! 💪😂

The logs have a fresh, rich look, and this cabin is finally getting the love it deserves. ❤️

🔨 What’s next?

Time to get those deck railings put back together in the section we removed! A little more woodworking, a few finishing touches, and we’ll be another step closer to wrapping this beauty up.

🏡🔨 JEN’S HOUSE UPDATE: WE HAVE WALLS… AND LIGHTS! 💡🎉

Yesterday was a BIG day at Jen’s house!

After weeks of demolition, floor repairs, plumbing, wiring, and all the behind-the-scenes work, we’re finally getting to see this place come back together!

🔨 The kitchen is officially drywalled! Goodbye pink insulation, hello actual walls! 😂

💡 Outlets and lights are going in! And the best part? WE CAN FINALLY SEE WHAT WE’RE DOING! No more working in the dark or dragging temporary lights around everywhere! 🙌

🏡 The transformation is getting real! It’s amazing how much different a space feels once the drywall starts going up. We’re finally getting a glimpse of what Jen’s new kitchen and living space will look like!

Of course, we’re not done yet…

Today’s goal? MORE DRYWALL! 🤣

Then comes everyone’s favorite part… mud, tape, sand, repeat! And probably repeat a few more times. 😂

Every day gets us a little closer to the fun finishing touches, and we can’t wait to see those new cabinets find their forever home!

🏡🔨 JEN’S HOUSE UPDATE: GOODBYE DEMO, HELLO DRYWALL! 🎉

We’re finally getting to the point where things start looking like a house again! 😂

After days of tearing things apart, discovering a few surprises, and putting everything back together from the ground up, we’ve hit another big milestone at Jen’s!

✅ Floors are ALL patched! No more mystery holes or playing “What the Duct?” 😂

✅ Plumbing is all set! Everything is roughed in and ready for the next phase.

✅ Electrical is in place! New wiring is run, and we’re getting closer to bringing this kitchen to life.

✅ New kitchen window is installed! A little change of plans, but it’s going to be worth it!

And now comes everyone’s favorite part…

DRYWALL, DRYWALL, DRYWALL! 🤣

Time to start covering up all that pink insulation and turning this construction zone back into a home!

It’s funny how much work goes into the things you’ll never see once a remodel is finished. But getting everything right behind those walls is just as important as making everything look beautiful on the outside. 💪

Jen’s house has come a LONG way, and we’re excited to finally start seeing the finished vision take shape!

🏡🔨 JEN’S HOUSE: NEW PLAN, NEW WINDOW! 🪟😂

Just when we thought we had the kitchen plans figured out… Jen had another idea! And you know what? We think she’s onto something! 😎

A quick change order meant it was time to head back outside, pull some siding and trim, do a little framing, and make room for a brand-new kitchen window!

🪟 New plan. New window. More natural light!

Sometimes the best ideas come AFTER you’ve already started tearing things apart. 😂

The exterior was already looking great after all the upgrades we’ve done, and now this new window is another piece of the puzzle that will make Jen’s kitchen feel even more like home.

🏡🔨 JEN’S HOUSE UPDATE: THE GOOD STUFF IS STARTING TO SHOW UP! 🎉

Yesterday was another productive day at Jen’s house, and we’re finally starting to see some of the pieces of this kitchen transformation come together!

📦 THE CABINETS HAVE ARRIVED! And there’s a whole lot of them! 😂 Now we just need to turn that stack of boxes into Jen’s dream kitchen!

🪚 Floor repairs are officially underway! We’ve got about half of the floor patching installed, replacing what we tore out while uncovering all those fun little surprises hiding underneath.

🔧 Plumbing, framing, electrical, floor repairs… there’s a LOT that has to happen before we get to the pretty stuff!

And while a room full of exposed insulation, lumber, and tools might not look like much to everyone else, to us it looks like PROGRESS! 💪

Today we’re back at it, tackling more of those floors and getting everything one step closer to putting this house back together.

Jen has been watching her home transform from the outside in, and we can’t wait for her to see this next chapter come to life!

The cabinets are here. The floors are coming together. Now the real fun begins! 😎🔨

🔨🏡 JEN’S HOUSE: WHAT THE DUCT?! 🤣

Yesterday’s adventure at Jen’s house was brought to you by the letters W, T, and D… WHAT THE DUCT?! 😂

You know those projects where you start pulling things apart and suddenly have more questions than answers? Yeah… welcome to remodeling!

With the kitchen and bathroom floors opened up, we got to play everyone’s favorite construction game: “Where does this duct go?” 🤔

Some went where they were supposed to. Others? Well, apparently they were just along for the ride! 🤷‍♂️😂

But we weren’t about to let a little mystery slow us down!

🪚 Patching and repairing the floors
🚿 Getting the rough-in plumbing underway
💪 Making sure what’s underneath is ready for everything going on top!

It’s not the glamorous part of a remodel, and it’s definitely not the part that gets all the compliments. But getting the stuff nobody sees done right is what makes the finished product worth it!

We’re getting closer to the fun stuff at Jen’s house, and we can’t wait to start putting this puzzle back together!
